Sprague power outage set

SPRAGUE — Avista is advising residents to prepare for a power outage from 10 p.m. Thursday, July 8, until 4 p.m. Friday, July 9.

The outage will affect about 460 ratepayers, the utility said.

During this time, Avista crews will perform maintenance to the Sprague substation, officials said.

“To limit customer impact and avoid a disruption of service during the heat of the day, when possible, we conduct planned maintenance during the evening hours,” Electric Operations Manager Ian Eccles said. “Maintaining our equipment is essential to delivering safe and reliable service to our customers.”...
