Editor’s note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column. 

July 11

Traffic stops: 7

An Odessa woman reported a man trying to get in her neighbor’s car on East Fourth Avenue.

Two lost dogs were reported on East Fifth Avenue in Odessa.

A person was reportedly looking in a vehicle on the 300 block of South Birch Street in Odessa.

A fire was reported at Rattlesnake Canyon.

A 74-year-old woman was suffering from a possible stroke.

A Reardan man reported a male walking on Waukon Road with a bag of ice on his head who appeared very dehydrated, despite the caller giving him some water. The male apparently said he was trying to walk back to Monroe.

A disabled vehicle was reported in front of Les Schwab in Davenport.

A caller said his mom and stepdad kicked him out a week ago and wouldn’t let him get his clothes or belongings.

A grass fire was reported near Lake Valley Loop Road in Sprague.

A Spokane woman said there was a truck pulling a boat that looked like it might need assistance.

A woman said she thought someone was prowling her house because she kept smelling pot smoke and hearing noises of someone running past her window.

July 12

Traffic stops: 17

A Reardan woman reported a camping trailer and semitruck blocking the roadway.

A Wilbur man reported some cows on the side of the road.

A few young girls called 911 saying a man was coming to kidnap them and take them to Omak, but when the dispatcher asked if there was an emergency, the girls all started to laugh and repeat everything the dispatcher was asking them back to the dispatcher.

A woman needed help jumping her dead car.

July 13

Traffic stops: 11

A convoy of Model T’s heading west was asked to break into smaller groups and allow people to pass.

A Davenport man said someone followed him through the gates at Hawk Creek Ranch and were driving around the area suspiciously.

A Davenport woman said her neighbors were leaving their dog outside on a tether day and night without much shade.

A caller said there was a male pushing a stroller with either a dog or a baby inside of it eastbound on Highway 2 in the western part of Lincoln County.

A Wilbur woman said she was scammed out of $1,000.

A caller said they almost had a head on collision due to poor passing from another car.

A Sprague man said there was a man driving an ATV on the roads with no helmet and sometimes had a child with him.

A disabled vehicle was reported in the western part of Lincoln County.

A cow and calf were loose.

July 14

Traffic stops: 6

A side alarm went off at SpeedTrap Tap House in Reardan.

An Edwall woman reported a threat.

A caller reported a black SUV with poor lane travel westbound heading into Reardan.

A woman said a seven-year-old girl possibly suffered a heat stroke at Seven Bays Marina.

An Edwall woman said, “Felicia stole her fridge.”

A caller said he saw three flashlights on his property and saw a car parked in between his residence and Highway 25 two hours prior.

A Sprague woman said she heard firecrackers past her house toward Sprague Lake.

A Davenport woman said a man in a black pickup truck drove past her house several times and shone a flashlight in her yard.

July 15

Traffic stops: 9

A Davenport woman reported a white sedan with poor lane travel.

A caller said a lot of people were trying to bypass construction on I-90 by speeding through downtown Sprague and requested more traffic patrols there.

A caller reported a tree in the middle of a road.

A Sprague woman reported a suspicious van.

A vessel was towed from Two Rivers Resort to Seven Bays.

A Valley woman reported a possible DUI situation.

An unoccupied vehicle was reported at Hawk Creek Campground.

A Reardan woman said a drunk woman kept trying to get on her front porch and get in her house, claiming she lived there.

July 16

Traffic stops: 6

A woman requested help after she locked her keys in her trunk.

A Davenport woman said her daughter ran away from her Main Street home.

A worker at Highline Grain said there was a suspicious person at the Odessa fire station yelling at the doors.

A 911 call reported a possible domestic violence incident on the 400 block of Maxwell Street in Davenport.

A man was having chest pains in the Miles-Creston Road area.

A camper pulling a boat tire was almost causing sparks on Miles-Creston Road.

A caller said people were fornicating at the Crescent Bay boat launch.

A Davenport man said there have been cars full of kids driving recklessly past his house and he was scared they could hit his six-year-old daughter, who plays outside.

A Davenport man said he believed his neighbor’s horse was outside their fence near the intersection of Wheatland and Gunning Roads.

A day use violation was reported at the Spring Canyon boat launch.

A Davenport woman requested a welfare check on her husband.

An abandoned RV was reported on the 400 block of South Birch Street in Odessa.

A day use violation was reported at the Crescent Beach boat launch.

July 17

Traffic stops: 8

A possible DUI situation was reported at Fitness Lane and Highway 28 in Davenport.

A car crash was reported at Fifth and Harker Streets in Davenport.

A Davenport woman said a predator of some kind attacked her horses on the 37100 block of Inkster Road East.

A disabled vehicle was reported at milepost 29 on Highway 174.

A fire was reported at Stagecoach Lane and Highway 174.

A Davenport man reported a black SUV passing six vehicles on the right hand shoulder of the roadway on Highway 2 traveling east from Oehlwein Road.

A Lincoln man said multiple cars were speeding as fast as 60 mph in a 25 mph zone near the Lincoln boat launch.

Note: Six inmates from Colville Tribal Corrections in Nespelem were transported to Lincoln County Jail July 13 due to wildfires in Okanogan County. They are listed below without a charge, as tribal detainer charges are not outlined in media reports.

Civil docket-July 13

Duane Derbecker vs. Ivonne Derbecker, to modify child support. The petitioner is losing his job at the end of the month, and the respondent said he’s constantly trying to lower support. The court denied the modification with leave to re-file.

Anita Schuler vs. Robert Francis Schuler, regarding a motion hearing for international travel with a child. Court denied Mr. Schuler’s motion to travel to Canada with the child in August in September on the basis it’s not in the child’s best interest to miss the start of school. However, the court will allow the child to travel to Canada with Schuler in August if he desires.

Kristen Marie Klemm vs. Erik William Paul Klemm, regarding amending child support. Court granted a motion to amend the child support payment date per an attorney’s request. Neither the petitioner or respondent appeared.

Miguel Angel Aparicio Ramirez vs. Kirstin Lea Backstrom, regarding a motion to vacate and par action for past due support. Motion continued to Sept. 7.

Jonathan Joel Barber vs. Annie O’Neal Barber, regarding a motion hearing to enforce a decree and show cause or contempt. Mr. Barber said the respondent refuses to move out of his residence and has caused between $15,000-$16,000 in damages. The court granted a two-week continuance.

Jennifer N. Gallaway vs. Matthew Alan Gallaway, regarding a parenting plan. The court approved a motion to move to Phase 2 of the parenting plan.
