Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
ODESSA – Norman Ott has retired from his eponymous business, Ott Insurance, after 42 years at the helm. His retirement does not mean that there will be an empty storefront on First Avenue however. His business partner for the past several years, Cindy Haase, will now operate Haase Insurance from the same west First Avenue location. That was the plan back when the two of them entered into a business partnership that ultimately operated insurances offices in both Harrington and Odessa.
Ott is a native of Irby, Wash., the son of Walt and Sally Ott. He attended the Odessa schools, graduating in 1973. He attended Washington State University in Pullman (class of 1977) and has remained a steadfast Cougar fan ever since. He met Lise Jensen when both attended WSU in the 1970s. They remained friends over the years until he extended an invitation to Lise to attend the annual Odessa Deutschesfest. That must have been quite a Fest, as romantic sparks flew and the two long-time friends saw each other with new eyes. They married in the early 2000s and make their home in Irby.
