The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
Oct. 4
Traffic stops: 4
A Harrington woman reported a Volkswagen bug that reportedly overshot Highway 2 into a field and was left abandoned.
A 76-year-old Sprague man was reported having a heart attack.
A porcupine needed to be removed from a roadway.
A Renton man flagged down police saying he was lost and confused.
A man was given a ride to Davenport after his car ran out of gas.
A man said he was driving south on Hawk Creek Road when a man carrying a green backpack flagged him down and asked him for a ride into town.
A Davenport man said he found a large dead rat in his newspaper mailbox on the 200 block of Ross Street.
A caller said there was an abandoned vehicle on the side of the road on their property that had been there four weeks the caller believed could’ve been stolen.
A Davenport caller said a man hit his son in the face.
A Davenport man reported a black GMC repeatedly speeding down 3rd Street.
A 68-year-old man was having a medical issue on Main Street in Odessa.
A Davenport woman reported a black cow loose on Highway 231 nearing Highway 2.
Two people were seen walking down Highway 2, but assured law enforcement they didn’t need a ride.
Oct. 5
Traffic stops: 5
A caller said he hit an elk cow calf south of Highway 231 and Devil’s Gap. He said the elk couldn’t walk and needed to be dispatched, but he couldn’t do that himself, so he left the scene since his vehicle was drivable.
A Mead woman reported a dispute with a Davenport man regarding the purchase of hay.
An Arizona woman said she was concerned about the way her sister was acting and said if something happened to her parents, she thinks her sister would have something to do with it.
A Davenport man said he saw a Scottie dog walking in the roadway, and when he stopped, the dog walked to his car and got in. He said he took the dog to his residence on Bald Ridge Road, but no one had come forward claiming to own the dog.
A Harrington man asked the Sheriff’s Office which laws would be enforced regarding state and federal mandates, then asked if he could go to Crab Creek and shoot to blow off some steam.
Oct. 6
Traffic stops: 15
A traffic offense was reported by the Public Works Department as they striped Harrington-Tokio Road.
Theft was reported in Reardan.
A woman reported two drunk women staggering down the street in Odessa.
A Creston woman said there were people trespassing on her property on the 27100 block of Underwood Canyon Road East. She said the people were in the process of buying the property, but don’t currently have permission to be there.
Spokane Tribal Police reported two suspicious people near Little Falls Dam on a boat near the Lincoln County side of the Spokane River shining a flashlight.
Oct. 7
Traffic stops: 11
A disabled vehicle with an Idaho license plate was reported on Highway 2 at milepost 247.
A commercial burglary alarm going off was reported at the Fort Spokane Visitor’s Center.
A Harrington woman said she saw an injured, possibly dead porcupine on the yellow line at milepost 122 on Highway 28.
A Spokane man reported a possible DUI situation with a car swerving on Highway 2 at milepost 255.
A Wilbur woman said she wanted to tell a deputy about a woman who has no license but was constantly driving around town.
Oct. 8
Traffic stops: 7
A Cheney woman said the people she bought a house from in Reardan were still coming and going from the residence and taking items after the sale.
U.S. Bank security said there were people inside the Harrington branch that they could see on camera but couldn’t tell if they were burglars or employees.
CPS said they needed help doing a check on the 300 block of Southeast Milmont Street in Wilbur.
A Sprague woman said a hacker gained access to her computer when she let him take a picture of her.
CPS requested a check on a person who had a child the day before in Spokane and left against medical advice.
A crash was reported on Highway 174 at milepost 34 involving a semitruck and a camper.
A man said he found lost property out hunting off Sprague Highway on Fishtrap Road.
Davenport Family Foods called on behalf of a man who needed a ride home.
A possible DUI situation was reported in a yellow Penske van swerving across lanes southbound on Highway 25 at milepost 5.
A Wilbur woman reported a deer carcass in the roadway on Highway 2 at milepost 241.
A Clarkston woman said the DW Excavating water truck parked in the construction zone on 500 South Division Street in Odessa had water pouring out of two open valves on the bottom of the truck.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said they got a call from someone in Sprague having a dispute with their roommate on the 300 block of East Chestnut Street.
Oct. 9
Traffic stops: 22
An Odessa woman said she could hear noises outside her house on the 400 block of East Second Avenue for the third time in the last two months.
A caller said he crashed his car in the middle of the night on I-90 near Sprague.
A caller reported a semitruck with a box trailer making bad passes and tailgating.
An Edwall woman reported suspicious circumstances on the 20500 block of Waukon Road North.
A Davenport man said there was a white car parked on his property on the 41100 block of Cobb Road East and he believed someone was out in his woods.
Washington State Patrol said they were chasing a blue Toyota from Ritzville involved in a hit-and-run before it stopped at the eastbound rest area near Sprague, where the driver began urinating in the parking lot.
Oct. 10
Traffic stops: 9
A woman reported a pickup truck on the side of the road with a man lying next to it passed out. The caller didn’t want to approach the man because she was afraid he was armed.
A Cheney woman said she was supposed to meet the father of her daughters at his parents’ residence in Davenport after they were visiting him in Deer Meadows, but they didn’t show up at the agreed-upon time.
A social worker requested a welfare check on a 15-year-old boy in the trailer park in Sprague she believed just got out of Martin Hall.
A Coeur d’Alene woman said she lives behind the Wilbur clinic, didn’t know her address and needed to speak to a sheriff named “Jeff.”
An Edwall man said a gray Toyota Tundra was at the end of his driveway on the 13000 block of Wollweber Road East, but when he went to see what the driver wanted, he took off driving at least 60 mph. The caller said he followed him to Highway 231 and made the driver pull over, who said he was out visiting a friend.
A caller reported a deer vs. car collision near Miles Creston and Welch Creek Roads.
A Davenport woman said her elderly neighbor locked himself out of his house on the 1200 block of Marshall Street.
A Davenport woman said a gray sedan had been parked in her driveway with the hazard lights on for an hour on the 36700 block of Hart Road North.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at the intersection of Highway 231 and Crescent Road North.

Caden M. Maxwell, 18, Seven Bays. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender with a prior felony conviction.

LeVance Anthony Reed, Davenport, fourth-degree domestic violence assault. Sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days served. Probation terminated.
Arthur James Banko, Odessa, resisting arrest. Case dismissed.
Lesley Denise Slough, Soap Lake, driving under the influence. Sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served, a $1,200 fine and 24 months supervised probation.
Melvin Thomas Anderson, Davenport, driving under the influence amended to reckless driving. Sentenced to 24 months supervised probation and a $1,000 fine.
Crystal Lynn Enriquez, Davenport, third-degree theft. Sentenced to 40 hours of community service.
Jasson Charles Day, Puyallup, third-degree driving with a suspended license. Case dismissed.

Sandra L. Hughes, Reardan, littering greater than 1 cubic foot amended to an amount less than or equal to 1 cubic foot. Ordered to pay a $150 fine.
Dustin Maxwell Dice, Coulee Dam, third-degree driving with a suspended license. Sentenced to 24 hours of community service.

Criminal docket-Oct. 5
LeVance Anthony Reed, who is charged with ten counts of a protection order violation with a previous conviction, entered a guilty plea and will be sentenced Nov. 16.
Brandy J. Hood, who is charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, harassment
with the threat to kill or cause bodily injury and fourth-degree assault, was found mentally competent. Her attorney, Douglas Phelps, disagreed with the assessment. A contested hearing on competency finding was set for Oct. 25.
Gary Chandler Angell, who is charged with residential burglary, first-degree identity theft, second-degree theft and first-degree stolen property trafficking, had his Oct. 27 trial struck. A change of plea is in process. The hearing was continued to Oct. 19 for a plea.
Perry David Bayes, who is charged with first-degree possession of stolen property, had a hearing to change his plea continued to Oct. 19.
Michael Lorentz Jackson, who is charged with second-degree theft, struck his Oct. 27 trial due to an agreement in process in District Court.
Dustin Bill Miley, who is charged with first-degree malicious mischief, had a readiness hearing set for Dec. 7 and a jury trial set for Dec. 29.
Mary A. McNeeley, who is charged with third-degree assault of a child, had a readiness hearing set for Dec. 7 and a jury trial set for Dec. 29.
Ernest Vern Windisch, who is charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, had a readiness hearing set for Nov. 16 and a jury trial set for Dec. 8.
Amy Elizabeth Wilsey, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and third-degree theft, is working on a change of plea. That hearing was set for Oct. 19.
Michael Gene Hubbs, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and third-degree theft, had a readiness hearing set for Nov. 16 and a jury trial set for Dec. 8.
Arthur James Banko, who is charged with harassment with a previous conviction, an antiharassment/protection order violation and display of weapons capable of producing harm, is hoping for a global agreement. A readiness hearing was set for Oct. 26 and a jury trial was set for Nov. 17.
