HARRINGTON – The week's volleyball action was all in the win column for the Odessa Tigers.
Odessa vs. Harrington
The Tiger volleyball team traveled to Harrington on Tuesday, Oct. 19, to face the Panthers. It is a rebuilding year for Panther volleyball, so the Tigers dominated once again in this contest.

Hayden Schuh led the offense with 9 kills and also got the team's only block. Ashlyn Neilsen had 2 digs, and Melloney Deife had 18 assists for the Tigers. Laela Hardung led in service aces with 11. Grace Nelson set a new school record in the second set by successfully serving the ball 25 times in a row.
Odessa vs. Valley Christian
Against Valley Christian on Oct. 21 at home in Odessa, the Tigers faced more of a challenge, but the final score was another 3-0 match win.

Nelson led the team in kills with nine, and Deife added another eight and also had six service aces. Nelson and Deife were tied for the lead in digs with 11 each. Deife led in assists with 16. Neilsen led in receipt of service with nine.
Odessa vs. Almira-Coulee-Hartline
Despite coasting to wins in their two games during the week, the Tiger girls were ready and psyched for their match against ACH in Coulee City on Saturday, Oct. 23. The Tigers appeared to be more careful in their shot selections Saturday, so there were far fewer kill shots flying out of bounds than in some of their past matches.

Odessa senior Emily Scrupps was on fire, pounding out 19 kills to lead the team's offense. Deife had 18 digs and Neilsen added another 15. Deife led in assists with 44. On defense, Nelson, Scrupps and Schuh each had one block at the net.
The ACH team fought hard, and it was an exciting match to watch.
