Nov. 1

Traffic stops: 21

A Harrington man called the Sheriff’s Office to argue about the medical necessity of COVID-19 vaccines.

A Spokane man reported a possible overdose situation.

A caller said she hit a deer, but she wasn’t injured and her car was still drivable.

A 73-year-old woman in the Creston area was transported to the hospital after her hip went out.

A caller said there was a white Ford parked at the end of Missile Site Road north of Reardan partially blocking the lane of travel with drivers hunting on his land without permission.

A caller said she got into a fight with her sister the day prior and they now had a no-contact order.

A car crash was reported on I-90 from Highway 23 near milepost 246.

A Winthrop man said a gray Kia passed him while driving over 100 mph eastbound on Highway 2 from milepost 223.

A Davenport woman said there was a car parked in front of her house on Hawk Creek Road North while other cars came up to it periodically. She said the original car’s occupant would get out and get into another car for a few minutes, then get back in his car until another car showed up.

A caller said a car hit her car in the parking area of the post office in Davenport.

A Grand Coulee man said his neighbor made a threat on Facebook but had since deleted the comment.

A Davenport woman found a beagle in front of the elementary school and brought it into the Sheriff’s Office.

A Soap Lake man said he needed to contact a local woman to tell her that her sister passed away.

A Davenport man said there was a white sedan driving slowly near his residence on the 40300 block of Omans Road East and said he thought the drivers were doing drugs.

Traffic stops: 11

A Sprague man said he couldn’t sleep because his neighbor was playing music too loud on the 300 block of East First Street.

A Davenport man reported a 40-year-old woman having a stroke on the 40400 block of Pineridge Drive East.

A Davenport man said four dogs were running through people’s yards on Green Canyon Road East again.

A caller said a man left Keller to catch the ferry and was headed to a home in Wilbur to deliver a case of meth.

An Alaska man requested a welfare check on his daughter, who lives with her mother in Lincoln County.

Odessa Fire requested assistance putting out a fire near Bates and Lesser Roads.

A Davenport man asked to go get his belongings from a residence on Mondovi Road after he received a no-contact order with a woman there.

A Davenport man reported people driving on his garden on the 300 block of Maxwell Street.

A Davenport man said he hit a deer north of Highway 25 on Porcupine Bay Road on his way to the Davenport Lions Club meeting.

A Mohler woman said her son ran away from her residence on the 30900 block of Mohler Road East.

A Medical Lake man said he saw two men shooting up drugs.

Moon Security in Pasco reported a commercial burglary alarm going off at Buddy Boy Farms north of Reardan toward Long Lake.

A Spokane woman said someone was screwing with her garbage can.

Adult Protective Services in Spokane reported local financial exploitation and mental abuse.

A Davenport man reported a possible trespasser on Deer Road a mile north of Bald Ridge Road North.

An Edwall woman reported a loose cow south of Highway 2 near Highway 231.

A truck hit a deer on Highway 2 at milepost 247.

Traffic stops: 6

A Reardan woman said she thought there was a person walking on her side deck when she woke up at her residence on the 35100 block of Highway 231 North.

A Lincoln man said a woman rang his doorbell at 4:45 a.m. with a machete on her belt.

An Odessa woman reported gas was stolen from her car on Duck Lake-Lamona Road.

A Harrington woman said her front door was open when she got home to her residence on the 34500 block of Mohler Road East.

Traffic stops: 11

A caller said a car hit his car the day prior, bending his trailer hitch.

A Davenport man said he found junk outside his storage units with the locks cut and unit door damaged on the 1400 block of 12th Street.

A Davenport man reported a car tearing up his field and roadway on the 22300 block of Olson Road North.

A caller reported a black sports car westbound on Highway 2 through Wilbur veering across lanes.

Nov. 6

Traffic stops: 10

A commercial alarm went off at Speed Trap Tap House in Reardan.

A caller reported a car crash on the 48700 block of Sprague Highway Road East.

A Davenport man once again asked to go get his belongings from a residence on Mondovi Road after he received a no-contact order with a woman there.

Hardy Hardware in Davenport reported pallets were stolen from the store the night before.

Residential burglary was reported.

A Davenport man reported a driver heading southbound on Highway 28 from the grain elevators with poor lane travel.

A caller said someone tried to break into his neighbor’s shed.

Nov. 7

Traffic stops: 8

A caller said three adults and four children were in her house and she didn’t know who they were.

A Reardan man said two small dogs were coming into his yard and chewing stuff up.

A Kennewick man said he was four-wheeling near Waukon Road east of Reardan when he lost control of the rig and was injured.

A Reardan woman said she heard gunshots near her residence on the 36300 block of Crescent Road North and suspected someone was hunting deer at night.

A Sprague man reported a group of people shooting after hours near the intersection of Lake Valley Loop and Jack Brown Road North.

Nov. 4

Jasson Charles Day, 44, Spokane. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of third-degree driving with a license suspended or revoked.

Criminal docket-Nov. 2

Bryan Lee Wing, who was convicted of second-degree burglary, second-degree malicious mischief and third-degree theft in 2020, will receive a Drug Offender Sentencing Alternative if it applies from a risk assessment by the Department of Corrections. A review hearing was scheduled for Dec. 7.

Robert Gerald Capshaw, who was convicted of first-degree burglary and second-degree theft in February, had his supervision sentence reduced by one month.

Anthony A. Baker of Goldendale was found guilty of possession of marijuana while incarcerated in Lincoln County Jail and was sentenced to 12 months incarceration with credit for 13 days served.

Nicholas Austin Berry, who was found guilty of first-degree theft, unlawful imprisonment and third-degree malicious mischief in 2020, was found indigent to proceed with his appeal for amending his release conditions and the motion was granted.

Edward Lee Luczak of Almira was found guilty of third-degree assault and was sentenced to three months in jail and 12 months’ probation.

Tyler Elman Scharff of Davenport, who is charged with second-degree assault/strangulation, entered a not-guilty plea. A readiness hearing was set for Jan. 4 and a jury trial was set for Jan. 26.

Gregory Wayne Devin, who is charged with two counts of second-degree unlawful firearm possession with a previous conviction, had his trial moved to Nov. 16.

Other court business

Rock Bottom Ranch LLC of Wilbur dismissed its claims for strict liability, trespass and mental anguish/emotional distress against Inland Power and Light Company after seeking damages and accusing the company of causing a fire on their property due to negligence with a power line in July.
