DAVENPORT—Drug paraphernalia, presumably used for consumption of marijuana, was found in the first-floor women’s bathroom of Superior Court in the Lincoln County Courthouse Tuesday, Nov. 9, according to records.
A semi-clear straw and tinfoil were spotted by two unnamed women in the east-side large stall in the bathroom. Deputy Brian Hudspeth said both items were charred, indicating they had been used for drug consumption that was likely marijuana, according to Sheriff Wade Magers.
Hudspeth took both items to the Sheriff’s Office for destruction.
Magers said the case was a simple example of confiscating and destroying items. No witnesses who saw potential consumption gave statements and Hudspeth didn’t find any identifying marks in the bathroom, according to records. The case was closed without an investigation.
