MOSES LAKE – The Odessa Tiger football team will play the Mountain Lions of Liberty Bell High School of Winthrop at Lions Field in Moses Lake on Saturday, Nov. 20, with kickoff at 3 p.m. The other three quarterfinal games will also be played Nov. 20. The Naselle Comets play the Pomeroy Pirates in Pomeroy with kickoff at 1 p.m. The Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors face off against the Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats, and the Quilcene Rangers play the Winlock Cardinals at times and locations that were not available at press time.
Odessa head football coach Jeff Nelson has shared with The Record the names of Odessa players named to the first and second all-opponent teams for District 7.
On offense, first team members are running back Davey McMillan, tight end Daeton Deife, offensive lineman Drew Hardung and all-purpose player Collin Martin. Named to the second team are quarterback Collin Martin and offensive lineman Hayden Miller. Tight end Gage Starkel received honorable mention.
On defense, first team members are defensive back Collin Martin, defensive lineman Anthony Elder, linebacker Drew Hardung, linebacker Daeton Deifel and all-purpose player Davey McMillan. McMillan is also named to the second team as a defensive back.
