Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
DAVENPORT-The high school's FBLA Partnership with Business team, made up of sophomore Emma Cormier, junior Lexi Cormier and junior Jesse Raugust, are partnering with the Davenport Care and Share. Their goal is to financially assist Care and Share's move to a new Davenport building/location.
These three FBLA members thought of an idea to start a "Kiss the Pig" fundraiser. Anyone can purchase a $1 vote towards a Davenport School District employee who has agreed to participate in the event.
The employee with the most votes on January 14 before the girls' varsity halftime will "Kiss the Pig." FBLA is striving to raise over $1,500 to give to Care and Share.
As of December 14, we have raised $1,022. Community members can purchase tickets at the home basketball games on Jan. 4, Jan. 8 and January 14. Tickets are also available Friday, January 7 and Friday, January 14 at the middle school and high school. Right now in the heat of the race, first-year Spanish teacher Stephanie Thorson leads the way with high school principal Chad Prewitt right behind her.
DHS FBLA and Davenport Care and Share are thankful for the generous donations.
