Week three of the Spokesman-Review’s Inland Empire Trapshoot had the shooters out in the bitter cold again on Sunday, Jan. 23. Reporting results are Markus Smith for Odessa and Doug Starkel for Marlin.
Odessa results
Nick Tebow had a perfect score of 25. Shooting 24 were Cody Stanford and Jared Praetorious. Markus Smith and Tyler Smith both shot 23. Jared King and Garrett Braun came in with 22. Five shooters hit 21 targets: Nathan Melcher, Corbyn Neilsen, Tom Schuh, Stan Dammel and Deric Schmierer.
At 20 and under were Holden Iverson, Lexi Eden, Jesse Reeves, Aiden Schmierer, Bo Walter, Colley Walter, Bill Weber, HaLee Walter, Kit Watson, Casen Watson, Kolter Watson, Izaak Schmierer, Jim Smith, Cade Weber, Casey Neilsen, Daeton Deife, Trevor Smith, Anthony Paszkeisz, Tucker Walter, Paige Smith, Meagan Tebow, Loree Smith, Hudson Walter, Sawyer Walter.
The high handicap shooter was Nick Tebow. No one won the high doubles contest. Cade Weber won both the Miss-n-Out and Annie Oakley. Markus Smith won the Bushwacker award.
Marlin results
Todd Druffel and Kass Kimble both shot 25, while Doug Starkel was the only shooter with 24. Austin Nelson, Dan Asker and Dylan Heer hit 23. Coming in at 22 were Kyle Starkel, Mike Wright, Doug Brashear and Kevin Heer. Hitting 21 were Jim Imbert, Josh Gray, Miller Stout, Taeven Brashear, Nolan Wright, Scott Mortimer, Jess Winston, Dusty Kimble and Juan Rocha.
Shooting 20 or under were Cort Kimble, Brayden Finkbeiner, Ryan Jergenson, Chuck Ray, Liz Sheyner, Dakota McAfee, Rob Imbert, JD Blum, Jim Imbert, Charlene Krause, Jon Hettinga, Rhett Jergenson, Travis Visker, Daryl Kimble, Bryan Winston, Tyson Visker, Brent Finkbeiner, Ron Lesser, Brian Finkbeiner, Chad Jackson, Noel Bowden, Shelbey Brashear, Tyler Larr, Jessie True, Chris Stout and Ali Heer.
High handicap shooter was Doug Starkel with 24 and high doubles winner was Austin Nelson with 43.
