The results for week #4 of the Spokesman-Review’s Inland Empire Trapshoot held Sunday, Jan. 30, are reported below by Markus Smith for Odessa and Doug Starkel for Marlin. After week #3, the Marlin-Odessa team was leading the Yakima Valley Sportsmen by two points, 296 to 294
Odessa results
None of Odessa’s shooters managed to hit all 25 targets. Shooting 24 were Wyatt Haase and Garrett Braun. Brian Wraspir shot 23. Tyler Smith, Jared King, Stan Dammel and Deric Schmierer all hit 22 targets. Hitting 21 were Nathan Melcher, Nick Tebow, Jared Praetorius and Jon Fink.
At 20 and under were Holden Iverson, Lexi Eden, Colley Walter, Bill Weber, HaLee Walter, Kit Watson, Casen Watson, Kolter Watson, Izaak Schmierer, Cade Weber, Casey Neilsen, Daeton Deife, Trevor Smith, Tucker Walter, Paige Smith, Koree Smith, Hudson Walter, Sawyer Walter, Cody Stanford, Corbyn Neilsen and Tom Schuh.
The high handicap shooter was Brian Wraspir, who also won the high doubles contest. Cade Weber won the Annie Oakley prize. Nick Tebow was the Miss-n-Out winner. Jared King won the Bushwacker award.
Marlin results
Dan Asker was the only shooter to hit 25, and Doug Starkel was the only shooter with 24. Hitting 23 were Mike French, Daryle Kimble, Ron Lesser and Josh Gray. Coming in at 22 were Juan Rocha, Jim Imbert, Scott Mortimer, Jessica Winston, Dusty Kimble, Miller Stout, Doug Brashear and Travis Visker. Shooters hitting 21 were Austin Nelson, Gage Starkel, Paul Bowden, Brent Finkbeiner, Kass Kimble, Tyson Visker, Fred Meise, Bryan Winston and Ryan Melgren.
Shooting 20 or under were Todd Druffel, Dallas Kimble, Tyler Greenwalt, Wayne Dainty, Rob Imbert, Mike Wright, Dylan Heer, Kevin Heer, Noel Bowden, Brian Finkbeiner, JD Blum, Jon Hettinga, Rhett Jergenson, Dakota McAfee, Chad Jackson, Ryan Jergenson, Kyle Hannahs, Jessie True, Faith Bowden, Holly Finkbeiner, Ben Reitz, Brayden Finkbeiner, Wiley Kimble and Cort Kimble.
High doubles shooter was TJ Visker.
