Tasers, body cams active in Reardan

REARDAN—The police department here is now fully equipped with non-lethal tasers and Axon body cameras for its lone full-time employee, Chief Andy Manke, and all four reserve officers.

The Airway Heights Police Department, including Chief Brad Richmond, Detective Aaron Madison and Corporal Mike Suniga trained the Reardan department in using the Axon Taser 7 in a four-hour session Thursday, Jan. 27. The body cameras were activated a week prior, Jan. 20 following a virtual training with Axon.
