Ranae Coleman, 84, passed away Feb. 8, 2022. She was born on July 21, 1937 in Granger, Wash. to Ralph and Soliel Basler. Ranae married her high school sweetheart, Dick Coleman, on Jan. 25, 1953 in Spokane, Wash. and they made their home in Davenport, Wash.
Ranae was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Egypt where she served as a Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon for many years. She was a volunteer for the Davenport Care and Share for more than 30 years and was an active member of the Senior Center.
Ranae enjoyed cooking, camping, playing numerous games and collecting mailboxes, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed the times she spent with her many special friends.
She worked for the National Park Service for 18 years, retiring in 2002.
Ranae is survived by her seven children, Richard (Leona) Coleman, Roger (Marie) Coleman, Russell (Kendra) Coleman, Rodney (Suzette) Coleman, Rita (Harry) Klein, Randy (Susan) Coleman, Robbyn (Philip) Smith along with 21 grandchildren, 34 great -grandchildren, her brother Gene Basler, sister Linda Mason and numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dick Coleman in 2017 and two brothers, Tim and Rick Basler.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday. Feb. 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Strate Funeral Home, 505 10th St., Davenport, Wash. Pastor Stacey Friedlein will be officiating. Interment at Mt. View Cemetery in Davenport with a reception following at Zion Lutheran.
