April 23, 1954 - Dec. 4, 2021

Aileen Linda Fink-Ambrose, confident in her resurrection and eternal life in Christ Jesus, died on Dec. 4, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Aileen Linda Fink was born April 23, 1954 in Baltimore Maryland to Alvin and Janet (Miller) Fink while Al was serving in the military. They returned to the Odessa family farm where she grew up, attended P.C. Jantz Elementary, graduated from Odessa High School in 1972, and attended Washington State University. She received a bachelor’s degree at Pacific Lutheran University and earned a Master’s degree in Nursing at the University of Washington. Aileen had a varied career, a professor of nursing for Pacific Lutheran University, hospitals and hospice nursing, private care, and the King County Department of Health.

She also did volunteer work for the NAMI organization and Calvary Lutheran Church in Federal Way, Wash., was a painter and loved writing and communicating with friends and family.

Inspired by the Lord, Aileen brought a special light to those around her, with a heart to serve and to help others. After her father moved to the nursing home, every evening at 7:00 pm, Aileen faithfully called him with a spiritual reading, a greeting, and a “HaHaHa.”

Aileen married Joseph Ambrose on Jan. 10th 2009 and together they shared many adventures, trips and quiet times in their backyard. Aileen is survived by her husband, dad, brothers, nieces, nephew, and many beloved family members. She was preceded in death by her mother, and grandparents.
