Rainwater, Krupke named first-team all-league

Four Davenport and Reardan players make second-team

SPOKANE VALLEY-Davenport junior Tennesee Rainwater and Reardan senior Ayden Krupke were recognized by their peers and league coaches as one of the NE2B's eight best boys and girls basketball players respectively during the final day of the District 7 2B Tournament at West Valley High School Saturday, Feb. 19.

Rainwater was the highest rated boys basketball player in the league aside from Colfax senior John Lustig, who was named NE2B Most Valuable Player.

Krupke was the Reardan girls' only all-league selection and was ranked sixth amongst league players. Colfax senior Asher Cai was named Most Valuable Player.

The boys second-team also featured locals in Davenport junior Brenick Soliday, Reardan senior Cody Sprecher and freshman Jakari Singleton.

The girls second-team featured the Davenport girls' lone selection, junior Lena Waters.

The rest of the boys first team included Tayshawn Colvin, Colton Marsh and London Foland of Liberty, Asher and Avi West of Northwest Christian (Colbert) and Chase Galbreath of Lind-Ritzville/Sprague.

The second team also featured Damian Demler of Colfax, Mason Zarlingo and Shawn Jones of St. George's, Zane Edwards of Kettle Falls and Nick Heier of Asotin.

Jared Hodl of Liberty was named boys Coach of the Year.

The rest of the girls first team included Teagan Colvin and Ellie Denny of Liberty, Mya Edwards of Kettle Falls, Brynn McGaughy of Colfax, Mia Pierce of Upper Columbia Academy and Margreit Galow of St. George's.

The second team also featured Dakota Killian and Sydney Kinch of LRS, Annika Bergquist and Carsyn Gildhaus of St. George's LaVay Shurrum of Kettle Falls and Jaisha Gibb of Colfax.

Tyler Edwards of Kettle Falls was named girls Coach of the Year.
