Marilou L Schillinger

Marilou L Schillinger passed away on March 2, 2022 in Spokane, Wash. Marilou was born on Feb.18, 1942 in Davenport, Wash. to John and Ina Hoffman. Marilou grew up in the Hunters area, attended school, and graduated in 1960. She married Jerry Schillinger on Oct. 1, 1960 in Coeur d'Alene, ID and to this union two children were born, James and Jodi.

Marilou worked and retired as a cook for the Davenport School district, always having fresh baked cookies and homemade rolls for everyone. Marilou enjoyed Word Search puzzles and Gonzaga Basketball (she called them her boys), but her family, grandchildren and great-grandsons meant the most to her.

Marilou is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry Schillinger, in Davenport Wash .; her two children James Schillinger and Jodi Martinez; five grandchildren Holly (Mike) McDaniel, Lacy (Dallas) Gustaveson, Courtney (John) Robinson, Cody (Samantha) Martinez, Tyler (Griselda) Martinez; nine great-grandsons Jason, Brody, Brock, Bryce, Brett, Brayden, Kade, Miles & Theo. She's also survived by three sisters, Jackie Hollis, Betty Monette and JoAnn Sweat, along with several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one great-grandson Bo Gustaveson.

As per her request no services will be held. Memorials may be made in honor of Marilou Schillinger to Davenport Athletics, 801 7th St., Davenport, WA 99122.
