Feb. 27

Traffic stops: 20

A caller reported a vehicle parked in the middle of a road with a female occupant saying she was waiting for her husband, who was driving a semitruck.

A caller said she was sad about recent events and needed some alone time.

A Reardan woman said her daughter was screaming at her to call the Sheriff’s Office.

Lincoln Hospital said an elderly woman came into the hospital and thought she had a scheduled X-Ray without an appointment.

A caller said his blue tractor was stolen from outside his empty mobile home.

A caller requested a welfare check on a great Dane in the back of a truck.

A Grand Coulee woman reported a couple fighting on the 44900 block of Highway 174 North.

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle sitting at a boat launch at Lake Roosevelt, but the female occupant said she was trying to get away from her parents and relax.

Feb. 28

Traffic stops: 10

A caller reported multiple boulders had fallen into the northbound lane in the middle of a canyon road.

A caller said a man in police custody owed him about $1,000 for a contracting job he did in Oct. 2021.

A Davenport man said a man and woman tried to rent a U-Haul from his business to drive west and believed they had been released from Lincoln County Jail that morning. He denied the service because the woman owed money to U-Haul.

A caller reported a red vehicle with rubber coming off the tires and a broken-out windshield southbound between Grand Coulee and Wilbur.

A suspicious man was reported at Broadway and Main Streets in Wilbur.

A Davenport man requested sergeant assistance with a dispute on the 800 block of Washington Street.

A Davenport woman said someone hit her car’s back door and began running around her vehicle.

March 1

A caller reported a suspicious Honda Accord behind the Cruize On In Diner in Odessa.

A woman came into the Sheriff’s Office to report multiple court order violations.

A caller reported an injured deer partially in the road on Highway 28 at milepost 82.

A caller reported a 60-year-old woman with high blood pressure in Wilbur.

A caller said a 21-year-old man took a bunch of his medication.

A caller said someone backed into the Strate Funeral Home vehicle in the Safeway parking lot in Davenport.

A caller reported a woman that appeared to have been beaten up walking around the 44900 block of Highway 174 North in Grand Coulee.

A Colville man reported a black Ford with a woman slumped over in the driver’s seat.

A Creston woman said that a red pickup backed in beside her garage and turned its headlights on at her property on the 25300 block of Miles Creston Road East.

An Odessa woman requested assistance lifting a non-injured female who fell getting out of her vehicle.

March 2

Traffic stops: 3

A Sprague woman said she saw a red truck with Idaho license plates parked on the side of an intersection with the driver hunched down and a man standing outside the truck with the passenger door open.

A Lincoln County Jail inmate was picked up from a nearby psychiatric ward.

A Grand Coulee woman said her neighbor went into a woman’s trailer and stole her car keys.

Reardan-Edwall School District staff requested a welfare check on a student that hadn’t been to school in 15 days.

A Davenport man reported a car tearing up the road at the intersection of Wheatdale Road North and Zellmer Road East.

A Reardan woman said she and her husband were almost victims of identity theft after being asked to withdraw $9,000 from their bank.

A caller reported a train car clasp lying in the middle of a road.

A caller reported a choking female.

ADT Security reported a front motion commercial alarm coming from the Wilbur Mini Mart.

March 3

Traffic stops: 10

A caller said items were stolen from his vehicle.

A follow-up was conducted at Reardan High School in relation to an assault case.

An ambulance was requested for a 40-year-old man that had injured his leg.

Five separate vehicle break-ins were reported in Odessa.

A caller reported a possible protection order violation.

A Creston woman said her friend told her that she paid a company two payments totaling $3,000 because she thought she would win a $250,000 grant.

A caller said a high school youth had been riding around in his fields for a month and had finally gotten stuck about a mile south of Alexander Road on Addington Road near Edwall.

A caller said she was home alone and was worried because she heard someone she doesn’t get along with was in the area.

A caller said another pickup went into his fields and got stuck.

March 4

Traffic stops: 1

A rollover crash was reported on Highway 25 at milepost 18.

A caller requested a criminal history report run on a man for possible probation violations in Idaho.

An East Wenatchee man said he helped a man out of the water near Hanson Harbor after the man’s kayak tipped over, forcing the man to swim to the shore. His kayak was set adrift and was floating down Lake Roosevelt toward Goldsmith Campground.

A caller said he had just told his wife he wants a divorce and she wasn’t let him take the vehicle that was in his name.

A woman said someone ran into her vehicle after running a stop sign on Southeast Bell Street in Wilbur.

A caller reported a car revving its engine at the corner of Tanner and Leffel Roads south of Davenport.

A front motion burglary alarm was reported going off at the Mini Mart in Wilbur.

A Davenport woman said she could hear a car that was either joyriding or stuck near the “Road Closed” sign on Four Corners Road.

March 5

Traffic stops: 16

A caller reported an abandoned Dodge Caravan.

A Spokane woman said three people were inside a small car smoking something while traveling eastbound on Highway 2 from milepost 261.

Theft was reported.

A caller reported an apparent disabled vehicle on Highway 2 and Jannett Road, but it turned out the driver had just stopped to eat dinner.

A suspicious vehicle was reported in Odessa on Highway 21 at milepost 55.

March 6

Traffic stops: 28

A caller reported a vehicle with a flat tire off a roadway.

A Davenport man called twice in a 30-minute span to say his neighbor’s dogs were on the loose on the 100 block of Marshall Street.

A Harrington man reported a side-by-side ATV driving 40 mph around the city and tearing up topsoil on a piece of city property.

A St. John woman requested a welfare check on her daughter living on the 100 block of West Alder Street in Sprague.

A Spokane Valley man reported a dead animal carcass smeared across Highway 2 near Telford Rest Area.

Rukundo Musore, 24, Spokane. Arrested by Washington State Patrol on a charge of second-degree driving with a license suspended or revoked.

Benjiman Cyrus Samuels, 48, Grand Coulee. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of fourth-degree assault.

Michael John Stensgar, 36, Spokane. Department of Corrections detainer.

March 3

William Bodee Hart, 25, Otis Orchards. Arrested by LCSO on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, third-degree driving with a license suspended or revoked and an ignition interlock violation.

Caden Marcus Maxwell, 18, Nine Mile Falls. Arrested by LCSO, charge not disclosed.

March 4

Joel Terry Bourne, 62, Sprague. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of residential burglary.

Hailey Megan Lebret-White, Wellpinit, speeding too fast for conditions. Found not committed.

Bridgette O. Lambson, Kettle Falls, operating a vehicle without insurance and failure to renew expired tabs. Ordered to pay a $408 fine.

Amanda Louise Yaksic, Omak, second-degree negligent driving, failure to renew expired tabs and no driver’s license on person. Ordered to pay an $803 fine.

Galina Nikolayey Yaraovaya, Nine Mile Falls, speeding 20 mph over limit. Ordered to pay a $190 fine.

Tristen Josephine Howtopat, Airway Heights, operating a vehicle without insurance. Ordered to pay a $190 fine.

Criminal docket-March 1

James Michael Cunningham, who is charged with first-degree reckless burning, appeared via Zoom to say he’d be ready for a 3.5 hearing March 23 with state witnesses including Deputy Dan Christian, Randy Fisher of Hawk Creek, Brandy Craig of Mead, firefighter Forrest Reif of Davenport, Daniel Matsche of the Department of Ecology and Devin Bachman of Spokane.

Cody James Magruder, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, first-degree theft, two counts of second-degree vehicle prowling and second-degree malicious mischief, waived his right to a speedy trial. A readiness hearing was set for April 19 and a jury trial was set for May 11.

Kendra Marie Tonasket pleaded guilty to second-degree identity theft and was sentenced to three months in jail.

Rondel Layne Krauter pleaded guilty to second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and was sentenced to five months of electronic monitoring.

Jack Cooper Purdy Jr, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, had a March 23 appearance scheduled with the possibility his case be moved to District Court.

Austin A. Anderson, who is charged with third-degree child molestation, waived his right to a speedy trial. A readiness hearing was set for June 14 and a jury trial was set for July 6.

Charlene Alberta Patenaude, who is charged with second-degree assault, unlawful display of a weapon and third-degree malicious mischief, had another status hearing scheduled for March 15.
