Odessa celebrates FBLA-PBL Week

ODESSA – Students at Odessa High School joined over 4,200 chapters nationwide and celebrated national FBLA-PBL Week, February 13-19, 2022.

Activities held over this week focused on the words surrounding the FBLA-PBL crest: Service, Education and Progress.

A Copper vs. Silver competition raised $104 for the March of Dimes, and winning sophomore class president Jacob Scrupps got to celebrate by throwing a pie in the face of losing senior class president Daeton Deife. In addition, chapter members honored FBLA adviser Terri King on Adviser Appreciation Day. Students also participated in many contests and a service activity.

FBLA-PBL Week falls within National Career & Technical Education Month™, which highlights the impact of career and technical education (CTE) on student success, workforce development and the economy.

“The momentum of a national event provides the perfect occasion to spotlight CTE programs that are making a difference—like FBLA—in the lives of our students, in our community and our nation overall,” said King.
