March 7

Traffic stops: 9

A caller reported a stalled Ford F250 in need of power steering fluid.

A caller reported a gray Ford Focus swerving on Highway 2 eastbound from Telford Rest Area.

A jail inmate was transported from Spokane County to Lincoln County.

A lady came into the sheriff’s office to say she was scammed after a person posing as her friend got her to send $33,000 in cash and a $2,600 check to an account via Facebook.

A caller reported a suspicious woman wearing a pink shirt.

An Odessa woman said her garage was broken into.

A Reardan youth was found in possession of tobacco.

A Davenport woman said she needed an ambulance response on the 700 block of Morgan Street.

March 8

Traffic stops: 13

A caller from BNSF said one of their trains almost ran over a man standing on the train tracks near Black and Cloverdale Roads between Edwall and Waukon. The caller said the man barely jumped out of the way in time.

An Arizona woman reported an animal bite.

A woman said she was scammed out of $34,100 from what she thought was PayPal.

A caller from the Safeway in Davenport reported a woman hitting the manager’s door and screaming.

An Odessa woman requested a welfare check on her First Avenue neighbor, whose garage door had blown open. The caller was informed a man had recently passed away in that home.

A disabled vehicle was reported partially blocking Sam Knack Road west of Davenport.

March 9

Traffic stops: 1

A Reardan man said his son was possibly missing after he borrowed his pickup truck to go to a doctor’s appointment in Spokane five days ago.

A running vehicle lockout was reported near Wilbur at Sherman Draw Road and Highway 2.

A caller said a semitruck passed her in a no-passing lane and ran her off the road.

A caller said his brother’s girlfriend had broken items in his house.

March 10

Traffic stops: 5

A caller from the Mini Mart in Wilbur reported a small white car in the parking lot that was running with someone sleeping inside.

A Wellpinit man said he had items stolen from his vehicle.

A loose cow was reported on Williams Lake Road south of Sprague.

A caller reported a man sleeping in a blue Subaru at Telford Rest Area.

A disabled vehicle was reported outside Harrington.

A Davenport woman said she could see a bonfire in the alley across from her house on the 200 block of Adams Street.

A caller requested a welfare check on his wife.

A caller said she could hear a car on her road at 4 a.m.

March 11

Traffic stops: 4

CPR was required on an 80-year-old female.

Ring Alarm Company reported a burglary alarm going off at a residence on the 25500 block of Shortcut Place East in Lincoln.

An alarm was reported going off in Reardan.

A woman found a Boston Terrier at Trader’s in Davenport and asked if she could turn it in to someone.

A Davenport man reported a possible drunk driver that turned off Highway 2 north onto Highway 25.

A 911 hangup call with people arguing in the background was reported outside Hardy Hardware in Davenport.

March 12

Traffic stops: 24

A caller reported a suspicious backpack at Telford Rest Area.

A caller said the car he was riding in was hit by another car at Highway 2 and Miles-Creston Road.

Odessa Town Hall reported mischief.

A Seven Bays woman reported a car with two men inside that she said “looked out of place.”

A man said he was driving on Highway 2 around milepost 236 when he came across a man in the middle of the road. The caller said he swerved to miss the man, who threw a bottle at the caller’s car.

A caller reported a car driving westbound on Highway 2 at milepost 266 without taillights or break lights.

March 13

Traffic stops: 30

A caller reported a silver four-door sedan with a driver possibly under the influence westbound on Highway 2 at milepost 264.

A Reardan man reported a car in a ditch.

A concerned citizen said a white car was “driving all over the road” between Reardan and Davenport. The driver was pulled over on Morgan Street and said she pulled over to text her brother back.

A caller reported a suspicious man with a backpack near the intersection of Little Falls and Circle Roads.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on the side of the road at Highway 25 and Sunset Highway.

Warren Eugene McCrea, 34, Nespelem. Department of Corrections detainer.

Ethan Robert Mellick, 19, Davenport. Originally arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of fourth-degree assault.

Sarah Laraine Redstar, 35, Nespelem. Arrested by LCSO on an out-of-state warrant.

Sheila Kay McLaughlin, 50, Davenport. Arrested by LCSO on charges of fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief.

Gregory Wayne Devin, Nine Mile Falls, third-degree driving with a suspended license, pistol loaded in a vehicle and using or possessing a loaded firearm in a vehicle. Case dismissed without prejudice.

Jesse Ray Watt, Spokane, third-degree driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle without ignition interlock. Sentenced to two days in jail, 16 hours of community service, a $250 fine and 12 months supervised probation.

Elle Row, Everett, negligent driving. Sentenced to 16 hours of community service.

Evan G. Foley, Davenport, possession of marijuana under the age of 21. Case dismissed without prejudice.

Tyler Kincade Dugger, Monroe, driving under the influence amended to reckless driving. Sentenced to two days in jail with credit for one day served, a $1,500 fine and 24 months supervised probation.

Braden Gary Waters, Grand Coulee, driving under the influence amended to first-degree negligent driving. Sentenced to 24 months supervised probation and a $500 fine.

Jordyn S. Hooper, Harrington, driving without a license. Case dismissed without prejudice.

Leanna T. Ferrer, Odessa, two counts of fourth-degree assault. Both charges dismissed without prejudice.

Catherine Herrman, Davenport, fourth-degree assault. Case dismissed without prejudice.

Nathanael Romaneschi, Coeur d’Alene, driving under the influence. Sentenced to 10 days in jail.

Rysyn Reed, Nine Mile Falls, reckless driving amended to negligent driving. Ordered to pay a $250 fine.

Criminal docket-March 8

William B. Hart, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, third-degree driving with a suspended license and an ignition interlock violation, entered a not-guilty plea. A readiness hearing was set for March 22 and a jury trial was set for April 13.

Joel Terry Bourne, who is charged with residential burglary, entered a not-guilty plea. A readiness hearing was set for March 22 and a jury trial was set for April 13.
