Harrington Chamber to receive Innovia grant

Funds will help fund town square beautification project

HARRINGTON – The local Chamber of Commerce will receive $6,200 in grant funds from the Innovia Foundation of Spokane to help complete the town square beautification project, officials said.

Funds will help pay to finish renovation of a historic building as a community center for the town’s 428 residents, Innovia said.

The allocation was among $1.01 million in grants the agency announced last week.

Five other organizations are receiving funds in Adams and Lincoln Counties.

In other area grants, Innovia will allocate:

$4,500 to pay for in-school performing arts programs offered by Columbia Basin Allied Arts in Adams and Lincoln Counties, $5,000 to hire an executive director for downtown development in Ritzville, 6,000 for after-school programs in the Almira School District in Almira and 8,100 for energy improvements being made by the Reardan Community Hall Association.
