Local junior recognized in Wednesday ceremony
Abby Breithaupt during the Miss Davenport coronation.
DAVENPORT – There's a new Miss Davenport in town. Local junior Abby Breithaupt was crowned in a ceremony hosted by Celebrate Davenport at the gazebo at the Plaza on Sixth and Morgan Streets Wednesday evening, May 18.
A float preview followed the ceremony at dusk.
Breithaupt, 16, is the daughter and only child of Stacy and Casey Breithaupt. She is on the Davenport golf team and enjoys her chemistry and science classes at the high school.
Her hobbies include hiking, nature photography and traveling.
She called her father her "most admired person" in her Miss Davenport application.
