Jan. 8, 1935 - June 22, 2022
Dolores Ann Rosman passed away on June 22, 2022. Her rosary service will be held at 7:00 pm on June 29th and the funeral will be at 11:00 am on June 30th at Sacred Heart Church in Wilbur, WA.
Dolores was born on Jan. 8, 1935 and grew up in Spokane. She was one of two daughters to Helen and Richard Kennedy. She would often share stories from her childhood of beloved chickens, defending her sister from bullies, and practicing violin at Marycliff High School. She went on to do secretarial work at Custom Laboratories.
Mom and dad met at a dance in Spokane. Mike found out she worked at Custom Laboratories while he was helping at Morning Star Boys Ranch, he volunteered to get supplies for the Ranch as often as he could so that he could visit her there. They were married in Oct. of 1961 and moved to Wilbur where they raised five children.
Dolores was the machinery that made the family work. Daily she cared for the family making meals, getting us to school in both Wilbur and Spokane, church and family activities, and doctor appointments. She made sure we had fun outlets like going swimming with cousins at the river, girl and boy scouts, travel opportunities. Both mom and dad valued good quality education and a healthy dose of church influence for their kids. They firmly believed this would set them up for success and create well rounded individuals.
Dolores was also able to make friends in all kinds of situations. She was an extremely kind individual who believed in the power of being positive and always moving forward. She was fortunate enough to live at home in Wilbur after dad passed away which was her preference. Her routine was simple and consisted of visiting her coffee group, activities and meals at the senior center, and church services.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Michael Rosman, her mother Helen Kennedy Keith, fathers Jim Keith and Richard Kennedy, and her sister Donna Heimbigner. She leaves behind her five children, Monica Rosman LaFever, Christina Rosman, Peter Rosman, Phillip Rosman, and Patricia Mitton, and two grandchildren, Megan LaFever and Maureen LaFever.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at http://www.stratefuneralhome.com for the Rosman family. Any donations to honor her memory should be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Wilbur Senior Center - both are places that were important to her.
