The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Aug. 1

Traffic stops: 8

A Davenport woman said she woke up to the smell of someone smoking weed, then saw someone looking in her window.

An Odessa woman said she thought someone tried to open her door at midnight the previous night.

An Almira woman said she found two doors open to the portable bathrooms at the local school with items written on the wall in blood.

An Airway Heights man requested a welfare check on one of his employees at the Department of Corrections who hadn’t showed up to work that day.

Five code violations were reported in Reardan.

A Davenport woman said her neighbor installed an electric wire on his side of his fence, which she said endangered her dog and kids.

A Sprague woman reported illegal dumping near the local BLM shooting range.

A Davenport woman reported a white dog chasing people at the intersection of Seventh and Maxwell Streets.

An Edwall woman said she saw a motorcycle traveling 110 mph westbound on Old Sunset Highway near Mondovi.

An Almira woman said she was behind a recklessly driven tow truck on Highway 2 near Govan.

Spokane County 911 transferred a call from a woman on the 29900 block of West Jacobs Road just inside Spokane County northeast of Reardan. The woman said the driver of a car near her residence was extremely intoxicated.

An Odessa man said he hadn’t seen his 12-year-old child for about 10 hours.

A disabled vehicle on Highway 2 near Sprinkle Road was reported.

Aug. 2

Traffic stops: 3

A disabled truck and trailer with a Maine license plate was reported.

An animal complaint was made.

A possibly abandoned vehicle on Ghers Road just north of Lake Road by Sprague Lake was reported.

A Reardan man said he was stung by a bee and was allergic to the sting.

A woman said she was driving in front of a recklessly driven Jeep on Highway 2 near milepost 268.

A woman said her mom wouldn’t leave her alone.

A suspicious vehicle that had been parked in front of the football field in Wilbur for a week was reported.

Aug. 3

Traffic stops: 9

A Lincoln County Jail inmate was transported for a COVID-19 test in preparation for his shuttle to prison.

A woman reported vehicles speeding up and down Hart Road northeast of Davenport.

A cow was reported loose on Hawk Creek Road.

An Odessa woman said the vacant house next door had an open garage door that was closed three hours prior.

Aug. 4

Traffic stops: 20

A jail inmate was transported to Lincoln County from Spokane.

A man said he found damage to his trailer when he came back from boating on Hawk Creek and the perpetrator wasn’t returning his calls.

A Davenport woman said the house down the street from hers had suspicious activity going on.

A Wilbur woman said a car acted like it was going to pull over when she went to pass it, then pulled back onto the road like it was going to do a pit maneuver on her.

Adams County requested as many fire trucks as possible to respond to a fire in Lind.

Debris was reported in the roadway on Highway 2 outside Reardan.

Two hang-up 911 calls from youths came from the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church north of Davenport.

Spokane Tribal Police said they have rangers watching fires from Vision Point that appeared to be in Detillion Campground on Lake Roosevelt, where there is a burn ban.

Traffic stops: 17

A caller reported a deer with a broken leg in a roadway.

A woman said someone was at her house stealing her ATV’s on the 26900 block of Miles Creston Road.

A Davenport woman said she was scammed.

A caller said doors on his property were stolen and beer cans were left in his camper.

A disabled vehicle was reported, but the driver said they were just waiting for their dad to drop off coolant.

Credit card fraud was reported in Odessa.

A commercial burglary alarm was reported going off at Renegade Restorations in Sprague.

Aug. 6

Traffic stops: 27

A burglary alarm was reported going off at an Edwall address.

An Almira man said his child was being held against his parenting plan by his ex-wife.

A caller reported a parked vehicle suspiciously close to her garage.

A caller said it looked like a bear ran into her garage.

A Davenport man reported a suspicious motorcycle.

A caller said she was giving a ride to her ex, whom she had a no-contact order with, and now wanted him out of her vehicle while parked under I-90 on Highway 23 in Sprague.

A disabled boat trailer with a blown tire was reported on Highway 2 and Fictenberg Road.

A Davenport man said his neighbor had a fire.

Aug. 7

Traffic stops: 8

A noise complaint was made on the 500 block of Southeast County Road in Wilbur.

An anonymous text came to a deputy saying their neighbor that lives in an RV on a public street was high on meth.

A caller said the repeater site across from the Catholic cemetery in Sprague was unsecured.

A Davenport man said he left his wallet at the gas pumps in Reardan, and before he knew it was gone someone had used his PayPal debit card on two small Apple purchases.

A Spokane woman said a trailer came unhitched and started a field fire on Waukon Road at Sobek Road.

A Davenport man said he found a man down and “not in good shape.”

A Gig Harbor man requested a welfare check on his father, who lives in Odessa.

A death was reported in Davenport on the 27400 block of Prairie Springs Drive.

Animal cruelty was reported.

A Harrington man reported two dirt bikes and a four-wheeler racing up and down a street.

An Odessa woman said her husband was having trouble breathing.

A person was reported walking in the middle of First Avenue in Odessa.

JAIL BOOKINGS

Aug. 2

Timothy Lee Morton, 50, Wilbur. Originally arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of second-degree burglary.

Aug. 4

Melissa Suann Dick, 45, Cusick. Arrested by LCSO for an ignition interlock violation.

John Eugene Geaudreau, 46, Spokane. Arrested by LCSO on charges of second-degree driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence.

Aug. 6

Roy Acuff Benningfield, 33, Bucoda. Arrested by LCSO on charges of violating a no-contact order and failure to comply.

Aug. 7

William Scott Strobel, 59, Spokane. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of second-degree animal cruelty.

Criminal docket-Aug. 2

Timothy Lee Morton was convicted of second-degree burglary and was sentenced to 32.5 months in prison.

Kendra Marie Tonasket was found not complying with a felony judgement and sentence by failing to sign up for electronic home monitoring and was ordered to serve three months confinement in jail.

Timothy Richard Bordwell, who is charged with motor vehicle theft and second-degree assault in two separate cases, had his trial continued to Aug. 16 as he had yet to receive a mental evaluation.

Ryan Jeffrey Marley, who is charged with first-degree animal cruelty/engaging in sexual conduct with an animal, failed to appear for a readiness hearing. A warrant was issued for his arrest with bail set at $5,000.

Dennis Lee Henson pleaded guilty to second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and was sentenced to 10 days of electronic monitoring.

David Robert Rickard, who was charged with second-degree burglary, making or having burglary tools, third-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief, had his case dismissed with the expectation of a civil commitment pending.

Rodney Dean Denley, who is charged with second-degree theft, third-degree malicious mischief and disturbing a survey monument, had a motion to quash a subpoena denied by the court but a motion to amend information granted. A readiness hearing was set for Oct. 25 and a jury trial was set for Nov. 16.

Terrence Edward Crinklaw, who is charged with harassment with the threat to kill or cause bodily injury, will have his case resolved in District Court.

Jarod Tyler Wagner, who is charged with second-degree assault/strangulation, entered a not-guilty plea. A readiness hearing was set for Sept. 27 and a jury trial was set for Oct. 19.

Erik Norman Skau, who is charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree malicious mischief, 12 counts of firearm theft, first-degree theft and two counts of motor vehicle theft, entered a not-guilty plea and posted bail of $50,000. A readiness hearing was set for Aug. 23 and a jury trial was set for Sept. 14.

Dustin Wesley Monen, who is charged with second-degree assault/strangulation and fourth-degree assault, entered a not-guilty plea. Bail was set at $50,000. A readiness hearing was set for Sept. 27 and a jury trial was set for Oct. 19.

Criminal docket-Aug. 4

Conrad Conn Herrera was found guilty by a jury of second-degree theft and third-degree burglary and will be sentenced Aug. 16.

Odessa – The latest cash grain market in Odessa shows Soft White Wheat, bushel is at 8.01. White Club, bushel at $8.01. Hard Red Winter, bushel at $8.48. Dark Northern Spring, bushel is at $8.60.
