Sept. 12

Traffic stops: 5

A caller said every morning a youth was driving extremely fast for a short distance and stopping hard in the road before making a 90-degree turn.

A Sprague woman said her landlord was putting her mail on hold at the post office.

A Davenport man said high schoolers in pickup trucks weren’t stopping for school busses with stop signs out and lights flashing.

Washington State Patrol reported a two-car crash between a box truck and Department of Transportation paint truck on Highway 2 at Telford Rest Area.

A report was filed regarding the Sheriff’s Office Facebook request for information about suspicious parties selling fake items and jewelry.

A Davenport woman said her mother was being cornered in her room and not let out on the 1300 block of Logan Street.

A Davenport woman said a suspicious man was walking a dog eastbound on Main Street from 14th Street when he stopped to look at her lawn mower and said he was looking for mower parts.

A driver was stopped at Trader’s in Davenport after reportedly driving off the road on Highway 25.

A caller reported a possible driver under the influence on Highway 2 at milepost 244.

A caller said someone illegally entered his neighbor’s house and came out holding a skateboard.

A Davenport man said two transient people asked him for money for a shower and a tent so they had a place to sleep.

Traffic stops: 10

A residential burglary alarm was reported going off at the Exxon gas station in Davenport.

A caller reported a flatbed truck that passed him on a double yellow line eastbound on Highway 2 at milepost 241.

A commercial alarm was reported going off at Wheatland Bank in Odessa.

A caller reported a white Trailblazer with excessive land travel and low speeds westbound on Highway 2 into Wilbur.

A caller requested a courtesy ride from Davenport to Grand Coulee.

Sept. 14

Traffic stops: 3

A caller said she heard a noise at her house and saw a shadow go across her yard.

An Odessa man said his 58-year-old wife fell in her bedroom on Fifth Street.

A Davenport woman said she hit a deer with her car.

A small fire was reported and quickly extinguished on the 34000 block of Egypt Loop Road East.

Lincoln County Public Works reported an abandoned vehicle.

A Creston woman asked to speak with the Sheriff regarding a missing person incident that occurred in Spokane.

An inmate was transported from Spokane County to Lincoln County.

A Harrington man said the city was having issues with a person living on the 300 block of North Third Street.

An Odessa woman said she filed a small claims case against a man for reference work done on her residence and agreed to dismiss the case locally after going on a television court show.

A Wilbur woman said the town picked up a dog the day prior that showed signs of neglect.

A caller said her father-in-law’s ex-girlfriend swerved her vehicle toward her and flipped her off outside Creekside Pharmacy in Davenport.

A Wilbur woman said a driver floored a vehicle at the top of the hill by the local school and sped to the bottom.

A Davenport woman said she thought she heard a gunshot outside the Cottonwood Springs Apartments.

Sept. 15

Traffic stops: 15

A Davenport man reported a tree on some power lines on Department of Natural Resources land.

A panic alarm was reported going off at Wheatland Bank in Odessa.

An Odessa man said a trailer was left in the Odessa Union parking lot the night prior and needed to be moved.

A suspicious camper was reportedly parked on Swanson Lake Road.

A problem with a youth was reported at the school in Reardan.

A caller said someone stole his longboard.

A caller said she locked herself out of her loaded cattle truck on Mountain View Road north of Creston.

A 63-year-old man said he had a headache and didn’t remember who he was while on a houseboat on Lake Roosevelt.

A caller from BNSF said a Davenport man had his tractor break down on the train tracks in town.

An anonymous caller said they saw a dog badly mauling a child.

Washington State Patrol reported an injured deer on Highway 2 just west of Davenport.

A disabled vehicle was reported on Mountain View Cemetery Road and Highway 2 in Davenport.

Clark County transferred a call from a woman saying a man in Davenport was requesting an ambulance due to withdrawals from suboxone.

Sept. 16

Traffic stops: 4

A fire in the fire pit was reported at the park in Odessa.

A caller reported a small white car swerving across lanes on Highway 2 from 12th Street in Davenport.

A Reardan woman said a teenager hit the handicapped sign in the R Store parking lot and knocked it over.

A caller said he was following a green Ford with no license plates driving all over the roadway on Highway 2 entering Reardan.

A caller reported a 12-foot U-Haul van that was driving around Wilbur and pulling into people’s driveways.

A caller reported a possible driver under the influence north on 12th Street heading toward Morgan Street in Davenport.

An elderly female required medical assistance at the Deutchesfest Biergarten in Odessa.

A motorcycle speeding over 130 mph on Highway 25 was reported.

A caller reported a man sleeping in a vehicle at Inkster Road and Highway 25.

Washington State Patrol said they had three units on a stop on Highway 28 at milepost 96 in Odessa.

Spokane Tribal Police said they were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle on Little Falls Road toward Highway 231.

Sept. 17

Traffic stops: 17

A caller said they were following a possible driver under the influence westbound on Highway 2 entering Davenport.

A caller said they needed help catching their dog.

A Davenport man said he was locked out of his house.

An Odessa woman said a man was harassing her on the 400 block of East Second Avenue.

A Davenport woman reported two dogs running loose near Fifth and Merriam Streets.

A caller reported a 64-year-old man with COVID-19 having trouble breathing in Davenport.

Washington State Patrol reported a dead deer in the southbound lane of Highway 25.

An Odessa woman said one of the patients at Quail Court fell.

A caller reported a car making bad passes while speeding eastbound on Highway 2 from Telford Rest Area.

A Creston man said another man cut his lock off a gate and put his own lock on the gate during a fight over a property easement.

A Davenport woman reported an elderly man that had a coughing fit and passed out while driving into a barbed wire fence.

A Wilbur man reported a live downed power line at the intersection of Southeast Railroad Avenue Brace Street.

A Davenport woman reported an erratically driven Mustang eastbound on Highway 2 from milepost 227.

A Sprague man said two people were arguing and yelling at each other after getting in a fender-bender.

A Creston man said someone was living in a motorhome with a burn barrel on Lone Pine Road.

A caller said someone came into her apartment while she was gone, which she realized because she found cigarette ashes in her sink.

A caller said someone was harrowing his land without permission.

A caller said her daughter was attacked by her grandmother’s dog on the 100 block of East Jefferson Street in Davenport.

A caller said his neighbor was having an open-air fire.

Sept. 12

Ricky Lee Fenton, 58, Spokane Valley. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of driving under the influence.

William Emil Hughes, 42, Reardan. Arrested by LCSO on charged of an ignition interlock violation, failure to apply for a transfer of ownership and a vehicle trip permit violation.

Monte Scott Flett of Fruitland was convicted of third-degree driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle without a license. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for 12 days served and 12 months supervised probation.

Criminal docket-Sept. 13

Felica Ann Sanford was convicted of second-degree theft and sentenced to 20 days in jail.

Stephanie L. McDuffie, who is charged with second-degree identity theft, failed to appear for a status hearing. A warrant was issued for her arrested with bail set at $5,000.

Joel Terry Bourne, who is charged with residential burglary, had a motion for an order quashing the state’s bench warrant denied and will be brought to Lincoln County to serve a sentence after completing a Grant County sentence.

David James Buck, who is charged with attempting to elude a police vehicle and motor vehicle theft, is in the process of a plea agreement. A readiness hearing was set for Nov. 15 and a jury trial was set for Dec. 7.

Charlene Alberta Patenaude, who is charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, displaying weapons capable of producing harm and third-degree malicious mischief, had her hearing continued to Sept. 27 due to her commitment at Eastern State Hospital.

Kendra Marie Tonasket, who is charged with two counts of second-degree identity theft and two counts of third-degree theft, entered a not-guilty plea. A readiness hearing was set for Oct. 11 and a jury trial was set for Nov. 2. Bail was set at $10,000.
