Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
PRIEST RIVER-The offense finally caught up with the defense for the Reardan football team last Friday. The Screaming Eagles traveled across the state line for its lone nonconference matchup to find that offense, which was generated largely by senior running back Jaquin Stroble in a 26-6 victory over the Priest River Spartans Sept. 30.
Stroble got the scoring going early with a 35-yard touchdown run after 2:40 of gametime had elapsed.
Priest River responded with its lone score of the game, a 40-yard score, but Stroble added a 59-yard score later in the first quarter and a 67-yard score at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Noah Hamilton converted two field goals and was 2-for-3 on extra points to round out the scoring for Reardan.
Reardan outgained Priest River 319-136 and forced seven punts.
Stroble finished with 184 rushing yards and three touchdowns on just seven attempts. Aidan Chilson added 57 yards on nine attempts. Jakari Singleton caught two passes from Rysen Soliday for 60 yards and racked up a team-high 6.5 tackles, four of which were for loss, and a sack.
Reardan improved to 2-3 with the victory and heads southeast this weekend to take on the Asotin Panthers, who are 0-4 in league this season and 1-4 overall. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7.
