ODESSA—An Enumclaw man charged with first-degree rape of a child was given a January court date in Lincoln County Superior Court last week before being booked and released in Lincoln County Jail. Jesse Paul Bohn, 41, will appear Jan. 31 for a readiness hearing and has a jury trial start date of Feb. 22, court records state.
The charge was leveled by the Lincoln County Prosecutor’s Office Sept. 21, accusing Bohn of having sexual intercourse with his daughter sometime between Oct. 15, 2019 and April 30, 2020. His daughter was five years old during that time period, according to court documents.
If convicted, Bohn could face a maximum penalty of life imprisonment and/or a fine up to $50,000, court documents state.
Town Marshal Leslie Jimerson received an email from the Sheriff’s Office March 31about an incident that occurred here at a home on the 100 block of West Eighth Avenue. Alyssa Layne, a professional child interviewer, spoke to Bohn’s daughter on July 10. She. told him Bohn had performed sexual acts on her and asked her not to tell her mother of the incident, according to court records.
Bohn denied the allegations, according to Jimerson’s police report.
A pretrial sexual assault protection order was issued between Bohn and his now eight-year-old daughter, with expires upon conviction, acquittal or dismissal. Bohn is prohibited from coming or staying within 1,000 feet of his daughter’s residence, school or place of employment.
He was told to live at his address in Enumclaw while awaiting trial, according to documents.
