Wynecoop 6th for girls, Jacobsen 7th for boys
Davenport junior Jaeger Jacobsen heads down the course at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco Saturday, Nov. 5. Jacobsen finished seventh in the boys 1B/2B State Championship meet.
PASCO-After an admittedly disappointing 10th place finish at the 1B/2B State Cross Country Championships in 2021, the Davenport boys had double the fun this year. The Gorillas finished fifth as a team in the 5,000 meter race at Sun Willows Golf Course.
Meanwhile, freshman Josie Wynecoop completed the course in 20:34.8 to finish sixth individually in the girls race. Fellow District 7 runner Josie McLaughlin of St. George's won the race.
Junior Jaeger Jacobsen had the best race for the Davenport boys, finishing seventh overall with a time of 17:15.9.
