Armed robbery reported in Odessa

ODESSA— An armed robbery on Laney Brothers Road was reported to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, Nov. 10. The alleged robbery took place approximately three miles east of town at a private residence.

Allegedly, two male subjects described by the homeowners as Hispanic came to the door claiming to be out of gas.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the victims said the two men left briefly before returning wearing masks and holding a gun.

Allegedly, the homeowners agreed to the demands of the two male subjects, who wanted money and jewelry.

The two subjects apparently fled the scene in a small silver four-door-sedan.

Lincoln County Sheriff Gabe Gants said there are no new updates to report.

“The investigation continues,” Gants said. “We have people currently reviewing surveillance from the Odessa area in the hopes of developing further leads.”

Gants said earlier this week that the Sheriff’s Office doesn’t think the alleged perpetrators are from Lincoln County, but couldn’t confirm that due to a lack of named suspects.
