Telecky makes first-team offense, defense
SPANGLE—Five football players from Davenport and Reardan were named to the NE2B All-Opponent team and were recognized in a ceremony at Liberty High School Sunday, Nov. 20.
Davenport senior Wyatt Telecky was named first-team on both the offensive and defensive lines, the only local to achieve such status.
Reardan junior Jonathan Holdway was first-team on offensive line and second-team on the defensive line. Holdway was the lone Screaming Eagle recognized.
Senior Brenick Soliday represented Davenport on the second team as both a wide receiver and a defensive back.
Davenport also had senior Sam Schneider make the first-team as a linebacker, while senior Evan Gunning was first-team defensive flex.
The rest of the offensive first-team included linemen Brandon Finau of Liberty, Hayden Stone of Lind-Ritzville/Sprague and Sampson Marshall of Chewelah, quarterback Jake Jeske of Liberty, running backs Kruz Katzer of Chewelah and Mason Gilchrist of Colfax, wide receivers Hayden Melcher of LRS and Cody Gilroy of Chewelah and tight end Hunter Dinkins of LRS.
The rest of the defensive first-team included linemen Dinkins, Stone and Finau, linebackers Gilchrist, Jeske and Brody Boness of LRS and defensive backs Melcher, Ashton Strobel of Liberty and Zach Bowman of Chewelah.
Special teams first-teamers included kicker Finau, punter Jacob Bell of Northwest Christian and returner Brock Kinch of LRS.
Brian Harrington of Liberty was named Coach of the Year, while his assistant Brian Goodwin was named Assistant Coach of the Year.
