Michael Scott Scheibner passed away on Dec. 8, at his home in Lincoln, Wash., with his son Andrew and his wife, Eileen, at his side. Scott battled a rare form of liver cancer and fought it diligently for 20 months.

Michael, known as Scott or Scotty by most, was born May 8, 1954 in Odessa, Wash. to Ned and Helen Scheibner (Bruce). He grew up on the family farm outside of Wilbur and attended Wilbur school through graduation in 1972. He was very active in sports with judo being his favorite, where he was a black belt and an instructor.
