Traffic stops: 5

A Davenport man said there were fresh tracks going into his neighbor’s 14th Street property while they were out of town.

A white SUV in a ditch was reported.

Lincoln County Public Works reported an abandoned vehicle on Waukon Road near Highway 2.

A Harrington man reported a car crash on Highway 28 and Zeigler Road.

Traffic stops: 8

A Davenport woman said a vehicle appeared to have recently entered the ditch on Highway 2 at milepost 248.

A Davenport man reported a large herd of elk near Highway 25 and Teel Hill Road.

A commercial alarm was reported going off at Memorial Hall in Davenport.

A Davenport woman said her mailbox was damaged on the 25700 block of Westfield Lane.

A caller requested a welfare check on a Sprague man she said has health isues.

A caller reported an old man slowly driving an SUV with the driver door open in the parking lot of Lincoln Hospital.

A semitruck driver reported a person waving a flashlight at the Fishtrap offramp on I-90.

A deceased coyote was reported on Highway 28 at milepost 121.

Okanogan County said they received an alarm report at the National Park Service office in Grand Coulee.

Traffic stops: 6

A Sprague man said a red garbage truck hit the guard rail in front of the local fire station and left the driver slumped over the wheel.

A Davenport man reported possible trespassers on his Bluestem property that owe him $40,000.

A Davenport man reported an abandoned Ford F350 on Oehlwein Road off Highway 2.

A Sheriff’s Office deputy said he had to swerve into a ditch to avoid a head-on crash with a pickup truck on Highway 2 at milepost 224.

Dec. 8

Traffic stops: 3

Spokane County Jail said a jail inmate was ready to be transported to Lincoln County.

An orange Jeep off the roadway on the Keller grade was reported.

Lincoln County Public Works reported a propane hauler that got stuck off Spring Canyon Road and needed to be towed.

A Harrington man requested a welfare check on his wife, whom he said locked herself in the bathroom two hours prior and wouldn’t come out.

A Reardan man reported a disabled semitruck blocking the road on Highway 231 north of Reardan.

A caller said a car bumped a guard rail on the hill leading into Davenport and may have clipped a snowplow.

A caller reported a youth riding a dirtbike.

A Sprague woman reported a Ford F150 being driven recklessly up and down the roads in the city.

A vehicle sideways blocking on Hawk Creek was reported.

A Davenport man reported a deceased 56-year-old female.

A caller reported a 70-year-old man that fell in a bathroom.

A worker at Safeway in Davenport dropped off several items left at the store’s lost and found.

A Creston man reported a vehicle parked into front of a gate at boat launch to Lake Roosevelt.

A Davenport woman said two cars had been parked in front of her duplex for several days.

A Davenport woman said she locked her keys inside her running van.

A caller said a vehicle had been parked in the Lincoln County Courthouse parking lot for several days.

BNSF reported a semitruck stuck on the train tracks in Harrington, halting train traffic.

A Davenport man said he didn’t want Apostolic boys plowing snow in front of his property at Seventh and Main Streets, but it was done anyway.

An Odessa woman said her 13-year-old nephew broke his dog’s leg and hit his siblings.

A caller said she was being stalked on social media.

A driver under the influence was reported.

A semitruck off a roadway was reported.

A caller said her 50-year-old son was on her roof with a baby.

An 80-year-old female not breathing was reported.

A rollover crash was reported on Highway 25 at milepost 7.

A Utah man said the owner of an evicted property on the 16200 block of Rocklyn Road left behind a bunch of starving cats and 10 starving peacocks.

A car crash notification came from Tramm Road near Highway 2.

A caller reported a man walking on the shoulder of Highway 2.

A caller reported a Lincoln County plow truck that got stuck on Copenhaver and Bachelor Prairie Roads.

Spokane Police requested assistance with a domestic violence case on the 900 block of First Street in Davenport.

A Mesa woman said a person was violating a protection order.

Charles Robert Bergman, 54, Moses Lake. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of first-degree murder.

Dec. 9

Mark Andrew Machtolf, 58, Nine Mile Falls. Originally arrested by the Reardan Police Department on a charge of reckless driving.

Dec. 10

Isaac Koostahta Bessette, 30, Spokane. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of driving under the influence.

Criminal docket-Dec. 6

Cody James Magruder, who is charged with first-degree burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of custodial assault, two counts of second-degree escape, first-degree robbery, first-degree malicious mischief and conspiracy to commit first-degree malicious mischief, will have his trial overseen by Judge Lech J. Radzimski of Stevens County. A readiness hearing was set for Dec. 20 and a jury trial where 11 witnesses have been summoned to testify, was set for Jan. 11.

Damion Michael Pegram, who carries the same charges as Magruder, had the same outcome as Magruder’s appearance sans the Dec. 20 readiness hearing.

David James Buck, who is charged with attempting to elude a police vehicle and motor vehicle theft, entered a guilty plea and will be sentenced Dec. 13.

Casey Christopher Lattanzi, who is charged with second-degree robbery, second-degree theft, second-degree assault and motor vehicle theft, has a possible plea agreement and is expected to file a change of plea Dec. 13.
