The third quarter started with Odessa sophomore Corbyn Nielsen scoring 2 points, with Oakesdale countering shortly after.

The Nighthawks put another 20 points on the board by the end of the third quarter, with Odessa adding just 13 points.

The Tigers trailed 40-23.

“Oakesdale is a good team and very well coached,” Coach H.P. Carstensen said. “We played a good first half.”

“Foul trouble hurt us in the second half,” he said. “We’re getting better and that is the key right there.”
