Fundraisers raise dollars for family

REARDAN - Rafa's Tacos held a fundraiser for the family of Shadrach Hall-Turner at their location on Broadway Avenue Monday, Feb. 27.
Rafa's owners Chris and Dominka Lopez donated 100% of the day's proceeds to support Shadrach's family and to assist with funeral expenses.
"We are only open because of the family today," Dominka Lopez said. "We are doing this until the food runs out."
"Shad and my son were friends," she added. "Our hearts go out to the community. He was just a child, and we wanted to do something for the family. Nobody wants to lose a child."
