Four students qualify for nationals

WENATCHEE - Six students from Reardan High School's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America program earned gold medals at the State Leadership Conference in Wenatchee, March 15-17.

This was a qualifying event for the National Leadership Conference.

Those awarded gold medals were Reagan Board, Kassidy Koch, Kelsey Koch, Mackenzie Bjornberg, Hannah Gralapp and Ally Burtenshaw.

Board, Bjornberg and Kassidy Koch all qualified to attend the national competition. Kelsey Koch qualified as an alternate.

To qualify for the national event, participants had to finish in the top two places in their respective categories by demonstrating knowledge, skills, and abilities in issues concerning families, careers, or communities.

"The students did an amazing job," advisor Barbara Hamilton said. "They each gave it their all and I am proud of each of them."

The FCCLA Leadership Conference will be held in Denver July 2-6.
