County Easter guide 2023

DAVENPORT — Easter weekend is fast approaching. Easter Sunday is April 9, while Good Friday is April 7.

Churches and organizations around Lincoln County are holding services and Easter Egg hunts to celebrate the holiday.

Easter Egg hunts

Women in Action will sponsor an Easter egg hunt for ages 10 and under on the Christian Heritage playground at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1 in Edwall.

“At 10:00 we will be serving homemade cinnamon rolls, coffee, apple juice and bananas in the school and then head outside for the Easter egg hunt at 11:00,” organizer Patti Bishop said.

She said children will be able to meet the Easter Bunny who will have placed 30 dozen eggs for them to find.

The Davenport Lions Club is hosting its annual egg hunt at City Park at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8. Organizer Matt Wagner said 2,500 will await prospective hunters.

Breakfast will be served at Memorial Hall beginning at 8 a.m.

The Odessa Lions Club is hosting an Easter Egg hunt at Reinman Park Saturday, April 8 at 10 a.m. Around 1,500 eggs will be spread throughout the three age groups.

The Harrington Lions Club is putting on an Easter Egg hunt at the school Saturday, April 8, at 10 a.m.

Sprague’s Easter Egg hunt and pictures with the Easter bunny is being put on by the Chamber of Commerce at the local school Saturday, April 8 at 10 a.m. Over 1,200 eggs will be offered for hunters.

New this year is a scavenger hunt for children in sixth grade and up. Meanwhile, an Easter bazaar is at the community hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Reardan Lions Club will host its Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 8 at the city park. Approximately 1,000 eggs will be placed.
