Reardan boys split with Liberty

REARDAN — The boys baseball team (1-3) notched its first victory this season during a doubleheader Saturday, March 25, against Liberty (Spangle).

Liberty (2-2) won the opening game 5-4; Reardan won Game 2, 14-6.

Through four innings in the first game, the teams matched each other hit-for-hit and were tied 4-4.

Tyler Clouse and Andrew Schulz led Reardan with two hits and a run each. Tate Nelson, Evan Moser and Craig Rinehart each had one hit.

Nelson had 13 strikeouts and gave up 8 hits.

In the second game, Reardan scored 4 runs in the third inning, 6 in the fifth and 3 more in the sixth, en route to a 14-6 victory.

Hunter Flaa and Evan Moser each had two hits for Reardan, and seven other players had 1.

Sharing pitching duties, Flaa and Clouse allowed the Lancers 9 hits and 6 runs.
