Myrtle Marie Buchanan

Myrtle Marie Buchanan (née Hellie) of Davenport, Wash. passed away peacefully on April 13, 2023.
Myrtle was born July 15, 1936, in Malta, Mont. to Roy and Mary Ellen Hellie. She graduated from Kettle Falls High School, Kettle Falls, Wash. in 1954.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Myrtle was proceeded by her husband, Neil Buchanan; she is survived by her brother Dennis Hellie (Marj), her four children: Jean Bowen, Debbie (Bob) Starkey, James (Sandy), and Marc (JeNell); 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Myrtle was an accomplished quilter, knitter and crotchetiest, making keepsakes for all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was active in bowling, softball and was a church organist as well. She enjoyed many other musical instruments. Myrtle was active in her church and in the Creston Community. She will be missed.
A Celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sat., April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Creston Christian Church, Creston, WA. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at http://www.strate-funeral.com for the Buchanan family.
