Marion (Crick) Gene Watkins
Mar. 30, 1945 – Apr. 11, 2023
Marion (Crick) Gene Watkins, 78, of Odessa, Wash. passed away on April 11, 2023.
Crick was born to Jesse "Mick" and Lucille (Heidt) Watkins at their home in Prosser, Wash. on March 30, 1945. Crick lived a colorful life and was a jack of all trades. He often joked about being a butcher, baker and a candlestick maker because he literally had done all three. Crick served in the US Air Force from 08-18-65 to 11-25-66. After his honorable discharge, he began a career in the long haul trucking industry where he worked his way up the ranks from driver to District Manager. Crick enjoyed fishing, hunting and telling jokes. In fact, he was telling jokes just moments before taking his last breath.
Crick is survived by his son Kelly (Sherry) Watkins and daughter Kristy (Carl) Barry. Grandchildren; Lexi, McKenna, Shelbey, Austin, Jacob, Joshua and Alayna. Great-grandchildren; Amelia and Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a wonderful circle of friends.
Crick was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Lucille Watkins, brothers Ronald and Lonnie and sister Carolyn.
Crick's final wishes were to be cremated and his ashes spread near his favorite lake. His family will have a small, intimate memorial gathering to celebrate his life. Kelly and Kristy were grateful of having spent his last, precious hours together.
