Council tables two items

DAVENPORT — The City Council tabled two action items, one involving airport procedure and the other involving ARPA funds at a regular meeting Wednesday, May 10.

The city is considering changes to the Municipal Airport operations manual “setting forth definitions, policies, rules and regulations concerning airport usage.” Those changes were tabled so council could further consult city administrator Steve Goemmel, who was attending Wednesday’s meeting virtually, on the policies.

A request from Care and Share for $9,500 in ARPA funds was similarly tabled so Goemmel could be consulted on financial inquiries in person.

Mayor Brad Sweet said the planning commission only has three active members. Interested applicants should contact the city, he said.

City clerk Dave Leath said the Davenport Water Park will open for the summer season Wednesday, June 14.

Council will next convene for a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 24 in City Hall.
