Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!

Two closures coming to nearby thoroughfares

Keller Ferry, State Highway 25 in Stevens County to close next week

KELLER--Two thoroughfares linking Lincoln County to neighboring counties will undergo closures of varying lengths next week. The Keller Ferry vessel, M/V Sanpoil, is closing for seven days, while State Highway 25 closes in a portion of Stevens County Tuesday, June 20.

The ferry, which connects Lincoln and Ferry Counties, closes Monday, June 19 to undergo significant maintenance, according to a Department of Transportation press release. Contractor crews will replace one of the vessels engines, perform top service to the second engine and rebuild the 10-year-old steering gears which guide the vessel, the release said. The Keller Ferry will also undergo inspection by the U.S. Coast Guard before returning to service for regular sailing at 6 a.m. Monday, June 26.

Detours are available via State Highway 155 and State Highway 174.

State Highway 25 will close at milepost 57.4 from Cedonia to Gifford at 7 a.m. Tuesday and remain closed through the end of working hours Friday, June 23 so crews can remove a failing culvert near Gifford.

Detours will be via Addy-Gifford Road and Cedonia-Addy Road.
