REARDAN - The local high school varsity girls fell in the semifinals at the second annual Slam Basketball Tournament hosted by the school and organized by head coach Bob Swannack June 16-18.
The Screaming Eagles were one of 12 varsity teams competing in the weekend tournament.
Reardan went undefeated into bracket play before falling to eventual champion Ridgeline 38-32 in the semifinals.
The Screaming Eagles had one more loss to exhaust in the double-elimination tournament, narrowly dropping a game to Tonasket 36-33. The Tigers would go on to lose to Ridgeline 56-35 in the tournament championship.
