Andrew Linscott Charlson

Andrew Linscott Charlson passed away peacefully June 28, 2023, after a long battle with COPD.
Andy was born Oct. 26, 1946 to Ancher and Shirley Charlson in Laramie Wyo. He was the oldest of four children and spent his youth in Vancouver, Wash.
After graduating from Battle Ground High School, Andy enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps.
During his tours of duty in Vietnam, he met his future wife, Mimi Truong. Together, they raised three children while being stationed at various military bases across the United States.
After retiring from the Marine Corps, he returned to Vancouver, before eventually settling in Davenport Wash., to live out his final years.
During his last days, family and friends were able to spend time with him. His passing was precious where he had a need to hear his sins forgiven in Jesus’s name and blood.
Andy is survived by his three children, Tom Charlson (Jenny) of Gaithersburg, Md., Kristin (Roland) Efraimson of Davenport, Wash .; and Sean Charlson of San Francisco, Calif .; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, siblings, Lynda (Stan) Sarkinen of Yacolt, Wash .; and Sue (Larry) Tapani and of Pasco, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ancher and Shirley; brother, Kenny; and wife, Mimi.
Services will be at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Davenport, 35900 State Highway 25 N., Davenport, Wash., at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023.
Viewing begins at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
