Joshua Douglas Likkel

Dec. 26, 1994-June 29, 2023

Joshua Douglas Likkel passed away June 29th 2023 at his home in Boise Idaho. He was born on Dec. 26, 1994 to Mark and Lisa Likkel (Hatley). Josh attended school in Wilbur and Davenport, Wash. He graduated from Davenport High School in 2013. Josh had an innate ability for basketball. He started learning the game at 3 years old and for many years that seemed to be the only thing he cared about. He enjoyed his time on the AAU circuit as well as his school seasons. He preferred to ride to his away games with Grandpa and Grandma Hatley to get the gym first. He was selected first team All American his senior year. He was so fun to watch!

He spent his summers in Colo. with Papa and Grandma Likkel. Josh was always up early and ready to get to work with Papa. Josh learned so much from all of his grandparents and had a special relationship with each of them.

From the time Josh was a little kid he made friends wherever he went, whether he was there for a weekend or a year. He loved interacting with people and learning their story.

He enjoyed cooking and putting his own twist on recipes. My personal favorites are his breakfast burritos, grilled steaks, and grilled dogs.

We miss his wide smile and contagious laugh.

At the time of his death he was working for TLC Landscaping in Boise, Idaho. He loved his work and his coworkers.

Josh leaves behind his girlfriend Jacey Jensen and their daughter, Jaylah Grace both of Boise, Idaho.

Mother Lisa Hatley of Davenport Wash., sister and brother in law Marisa and Quinn Malcolm of Post Falls, Idaho, Grandparents Richard and Sally Hatley of Davenport Wash., Eldon and Helen Likkel of Lakeland Colo., and many Uncles, Aunts, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his dad Mark Likkel and his grandma "Nana" Donna Likkel

Josh was happiest when he was outside whether it was for work or play. You are invited to join his family in celebrating his life July 29, 2023 at 11 a.m. Two Rivers Resort Pavilion

6828 D Highway 25 South, Davenport Wash.
