Edna's Drive-In demolished

Locals share memories of longtime staple

DAVENPORT - A longtime city staple became dust and rubble this week. The old Edna's Drive-In, now owned by Les Schwab, was demolished Tuesday, July 25.

The move comes roughly a year after the regional tire company bought the property from Edna's owners Mike and Virginia Fries, who elected to sell in anticipation of retirement.
