Mills-Jay posts reduced bond

DAVENPORT — A Reardan man charged with second-degree murder of a baby posted a reduced cash bond and will live with his sister while awaiting trial.

Jordan Mills-Jay, 29, posted a $1,500 cash bond out of Lincoln County Jail following a court date Tuesday, Aug. 15 in which presiding judge Gary Libey of Whitman County agreed to lower his bond from $150,000 to a $15,000 surety bond, which equates to $1,500 cash.

Mills-Jay is accused of killing a 5-month-old boy in a Euclid Road home in June.

He was arrested and booked into jail Monday, June 26, five days after the boy died at a Spokane hospital.

Mills-Jay entered a not-guilty plea in July.

Libey ordered Mills-Jay to have no contact with minors while awaiting trial, which is tentatively scheduled to begin Nov. 8.
