County leaders consider requests

DAVENPORT — The Lincoln County Commissioners passed several requests from various county departments and heard correspondence from other entities at their regular meeting Monday, Sept. 18.

The commissioners agreed to a budget extension of the Public Health budget as requested by Director Ed Dzedzy, as well as a consolidated contract amendment and a WIC Dietician contract for Deidra Saba.

The Sheriff’s Office asked to hire a patrol deputy to fill the vacancy left by the late Luke Mallon, which was also approved.

In correspondence business, the commissioners also heard of a cannabis license renewal for I502 Cannabis. Additionally, the City of Harrington submitted its opposition to a proposed per-parcel noxious weed control tax requested by the Noxious Weed Board.
