Davenport XC takes to Asotin

ASOTIN - The Davenport cross country team was in action twice this week, with competition at the Les MacDowell Invite in Asotin Saturday, Sept. 16 and in a league meet held at Reardan's property in the Four Mound area Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Results from the Tuesday league meet in Reardan had not been posted by Thursday when the newspaper went to print. Those outcomes will be posted to our website when shared.

Davenport's girls results from the Les MacDowell Invite were not inputted correctly on the online platform cross country results are typically published through, but head coach Brian Telford said the team's finishers, in order, were Josie Wynecoop, Charlotte Soliday, Glenna Soliday, Jessi Philips and Alyssa Kruger.

Jaeger Jacobsen was the top boys finisher, with a sixth place finish at 17:00. Next was Jackson Guhlke in 31st at 18:38.

Jacob Furman finished 85th at 21:56, Nick Kruger was 89th at 22:20 and Thomas Furman was 100th at 25:32.

The Gorillas next have another league meet, this time in Republic Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Reardan, meanwhile, heads to the Can-Am Invitational in Kettle Falls Saturday, Sept. 23.
