DAVENPORT — Outside of the Reardan volleyball team, most soccer and volleyball teams around Lincoln County were on the road in the last week.
Davenport volleyball went to Spangle and put up a dogfight against the Liberty Lancers, but fell in five sets 25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 23-25, 14-16 Tuesday, Sept. 19.
Chloe Hammond led the Gorillas with 10 kills and five aces. Davenport dropped to 1-2 and hosts Kettle Falls at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21.
Davenport soccer earned a dominant 9-0 win at Kettle Falls to improve to 2-0 Thursday, Sept. 14. The Gorillas’ home matchup with Valley Christian Tuesday was cancelled, so the Gorillas face their toughest challenge yet against defending league champion St. George’s at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21.
Odessa volleyball earned its first win of the season at Valley Christian 23-25, 25-20, 25-22, 26-24 Tuesday, Sept. 19. The Tigers are back in Spokane County at Chesterton Academy at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21.
And Reardan soccer fell to a league favorite, Northwest Christian, 7-2 Tuesday, Sept. 19. The Screaming Eagles were forced to compete against a Crusaders team with 20 players while sporting just 11 players themselves.
Reardan will look to get back in the win column in a home game with Kettle Falls at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26.
