Sept. 24

Traffic stops: 10

A car versus deer crash was reported.

A Davenport man reported a red pickup truck pulling a camper being pulled solely by a chain up the hill eastbound from Davenport.

A caller said her Honda Civic was stolen when she left it running outside her apartment complex.

A citizen assist was provided at Fort Spokane.

Sept. 25

Traffic stops: 2

A Davenport man said he heard gunshots on the 42400 block of Highway 25 North.

An Ephrata man reported a recklessly driven work van.

A Sprague man reported a motorhome parked on his property on Jack Brown Road and Lake Valley Loop Road.

A Republic man requested a welfare check on his wife on the 200 block of Anderson Street in Creston.

Papers were served to a woman on the 12000 block of Eagle Springs Road in Odessa.

A caller reported a suspicious blue SUV with a male driver and two female passengers driving up and down Tramm Road near Bowie Road outside Reardan.

A Davenport man said his 9-year-old daughter was causing destruction and obstruction of justice by destroying items in his home.

Sept. 26

Traffic stops: 9

An abandoned vehicle was reported at the Dept. of Agriculture office on the 1300 block of West Morgan Street in Davenport.

A young man was reported walking on Highway 21 near Coffeepot Road.

A Davenport couple said they had custody of their daughter’s children and the daughter had made threats that she was going to take the children back.

A caller said her neighbor texted that there was a “weirdo” walking down Trejbal Back Road north of Odessa.

A Reardan woman said a boy threatened her 12-year-old daughter at school.

An Odessa man said he saw a man going through his house where a woman was recently removed from as a renter.

Sept. 27

Traffic stops: 2

An Odessa man said he was pushed in the street by his brother on the 300 block of South Division Street.

An Edwall man reported a suspicious vehicle parked on a Reardan-area wheat field.

A residential burglary alarm was reported going off on the 24300 block of Miles Creston Road.

A Sprague man said he had an ongoing issue with his renter on the 400 block of West First Street.

A Reardan woman said she saw a woman pulling on her car door outside the local high school volleyball match.

A Davenport man reported a German shepherd running in the intersection of Third and Morgan Streets.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at Sprinkle and Sunset Highway Roads west of Reardan.

A Harrington woman said her neighbor was burning junk.

A disabled vehicle was reported on Highway 2 at milepost 260.

Sept. 28

Traffic stops: 7

An Odessa woman reported an issue with a trailer in the alleyway behind her house.

A town code violation was reported in Odessa.

A Davenport woman said a child jumped into the local pool with the pool cover on.

Assault was reported in Odessa.

Animal cruelty was reported.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on Highway 2 at milepost 233.

A vehicle crash was reported near Davenport.

Traffic stops: 10

A Harrington man said someone was jacking up his truck on the 200 block of West Willis Street.

A caller reported a wood post on Highway 2 between mileposts 243 and 244.

A Davenport man said someone appeared to have broken into an old granary.

An argument was reported in Reardan, leading to an arrest.

A caller from New Alliance Counseling said a man needed to be picked up, detained and taken to the emergency room.

A caller reported several white sedans.

A Marlin man said he saw a man leave the Odessa gas station after waving cash around and trying to get people to buy fuel.

A courtesy ride was given to a man to Davenport.

An Almira man reported a suspicious van at the substation on Monson Road.

A 57-year-old woman low on oxygen was reported in Odessa.

Sept. 30

Traffic stops: 13

A Safeway employee said a 30-year-old man came into the store and claimed he’d suffered a stroke.

Possible financial exploitation was reported on the 500 block of Ross Street in Davenport.

A lost child was reported at the Davenport football field, but the child’s mother was found.

A caller reported a red Honda westbound outside Reardan.

A caller reported a man with no shirt on walking on the side of the highway just west of Reardan.

A Davenport woman said a local man poked her in the ribs at Family Dollar.

Criminal court-Sept. 28

Kayla C. Anthony, Reardan, disorderly conduct. Sentenced to two days in jail, 16 hours community service and 12 months supervised probation.

Alexus Ray Redman, Burien, second-degree driving with a suspended license (dismissed) and operating a vehicle without a license. Sentenced to two days in jail, 16 hours community service and 12 months supervised probation.

Michael Fredrick Miller, Davenport, driving under the influence. Sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 28 days served, 60 days electronic home monitoring, a $1,500 fine, 36 months supervised probation and 24 months unsupervised probation.

Luis A. Huerta Soto, Brewster, driving under the influence. Sentenced to 10 days in jail, a $2,000 fine, 36 months supervised probation and 24 months unsupervised probation.

Megan Rose Carroll, Medical Lake, driving under the influence. Sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served, a $1,250 fine, 36 months supervised probation and 24 months unsupervised probation.

Zachary Aaron Johnson, Davenport, third-degree theft. Sentenced to five days in jail, 16 hours community service, a $250 fine and 12 months supervised probation.

Kazybek Moldash, Lacey, reckless driving. Sentenced to 20 days in jail and a $3,250 fine.

Other court business

The court ruled on good cause that the city of Davenport may either humanly destroy or dispose of Joseph Coffey’s dog at the city’s discretion.

Criminal docket-Sept. 26

Gary D. Hutt, who is charged with first-degree identity theft and five counts of second-degree theft, had his readiness hearing continued to Oct. 24.

Diana Rose Johnson, who is charged with second-degree theft of public record, will have her case resolved in District Court.

Petra Thomas Cook, who is charged with second-degree assault of a child, second-degree criminal mistreatment and fourth-degree assault, had his Oct. 18 trial date struck as a resolution is pending.

Ryan M. Smith, who was convicted of residential burglary, first-degree theft, second-degree malicious mischief, theft of a firearm and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm in Dec. 2020, was found not indigent by the court. The state objected to waiving restitution.

David Samuel Lord, who is charged with 11 counts of second-degree identity theft, three counts of second-degree theft and three counts of third-degree theft, failed to appear for an arraignment. A warrant was issued for his arrest with bail set at $10,000.

Dylan Ian Moses Doughty, who is charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, entered a not-guilty plea. Bail was reduced to $10,000. A furlough was granted, provided Doughty returns by Oct. 23. A readiness hearing was set for Oct. 24 and a jury trial was set for Nov. 15.
