Cross country takes to the 509

Reardan middle schoolers eighth

AIRWAY HEIGHTS - Davenport and Reardan's cross country teams were two of 60 high schools, 22 middle schools and four clubs that ran at the Sixth Annual Battle for the 509 at the Spokane Polo Grounds Saturday, Sept. 30.

The most successful team was the Reardan middle school boys, who finished eighth as a team. The Davenport high school boys took 19th.

Davenport was at its final league meet Tuesday, Oct. 3, while Reardan was in Lewiston for a like arrangement. Results from the final league meets will be in next week's paper ahead of 1B/2B League Championships in Colfax Friday, Oct. 13.
